I'll be the guy to post it...yesterday $2.12/gallon, same gas station $2.59/gallon today. I saw an article that said Harvey is going to affect 40% of all fuel transport.

$2.19 in Mebane yesterday, $2.51 today at the same station. The same irrational panic that hit when Colonial shut down due to leak & repairs is going to hit again.

texas is not the major port for the east coast.... #baffling

I mean if I had gas, an could sell it at $10/gallon I would.
Wouldnt you?

Maybe this spike will last long enough to make people panic sell Diesels?

I'll be selling WVO for $2.00/gal for any of you old school desiel guys!:huggy:

We have enough fuel here at the house to get us into October, easy.

Well, except for premix. I probably need some high test.

Just went and filled up the Jeep. Not because of Facebook, but because I went out of town today and came home on E. Several cars waiting at the BP near me. One guy filled his truck, and a couple of 5 gallon cans. Then a guy drives in with a trailer full of 5 gallon cans and started filling them. We'll be out everywhere by tomorrow.

Absolutely...I've long been an advocate for higher gas prices. Keeps more dumbasses off the road and makes toys ridiculously cheap.

I was making work rounds in Denver Tuesday. All the stations were 2.35 reg., Except the Murphy. I kept thinking, hope when I get off I can get back here & fuel at 2.17! Just after 12:00, they matched price with the rest. So, on my way home I stopped at a Shell, & used my New Rewards card. Got .25 Off pump price of 2.39, on first 20 gallons. I doubt I could have gotten another gallon in my truck, so for Now, I'm Happy! Filled the Jeep & lawn mower can with non eth, last week! I noticed today, several stations had Gas & Diesel, at the Same price; 2.49.

Seen diesel as high as $2.79, I won this time.

Everything was looking on the up and up until Roy Cooper opened his fucking mouth... "Hurricane Harvey's damage to refineries in Texas and Louisiana could ripple throughout the southeast, causing gasoline shortages and rising prices," Cooper said. "I'm taking action to make it easier to get gasoline into our state so North Carolinians who need gas can get it."

What a dipshit, nobody is going to listen to his reasoning behind the state of emergency. All he did was just incite hysteria and races to the pumps when we have regional tank farms that can more than handle what little interruption we will have from Harvey. It's not even completely shut off like it was during the previous repair. The deliveries to our regional tanks are "intermittent" during the storm recovery.

$2.19 was steady like that near the house and jumped to $2.44 yesterday morning and was $2.55 when I left for work this morning.

Perfect timing:rolleyes:
Over 4K miles @9.5mpg in the next 9days. Thankful I at least got the first 100+gallons for a fair $2.29 per gallon.

I know this is a little off topic, but is there any way you could do another trip thread like last time? I really enjoyed that. I hope to be able to travel like that in a few years and love to live vicariously though yalls trips!

Gas is around $2.39 here for 87. I'm used to paying that or more for 93 just because it's habit and my stuff runs better on it. I guess I'll drop to 87 in the Yukon for a few weeks. Shouldn't hurt I hope . My small engines only get 93.

Exactly. A big reason for declaring SOE is to try and prevent price gouging. Media takes it as a sign that the world is over. Then they all start using words like "gas shortage". If they simply reported a minor fuel interruption, most of the morons wouldn't know the difference.

Filled the wife's car last night at $2.45/gal...shipped her off to the mountain house so I can watch the opening weekend of college football in peace.
Shit if your a TN fan ain't much to watch there... hahaha :flipoff2:

Words hurt ya know...they were good when I played there. More or less a tradition though...pizza all day, pot of coffee, bottle or two of bourbon...only get up to pee, and sometimes even then, I'll just find a bottle within reach.
