Gas Hysteria...

Nothing creates a shortage like the media saying there's a shortage

It was 2.27 yesterday morning, and 2.55 yesterday afternoon near me. Fucktards.

Us peasants with our gas trucks are the ones getting screwed...and the rich get richer.

Maybe it's slow crossing the State, but even Yesterday, Every station in the Charlotte - Gastonia area, was average 2.59. I see Most stations have diesel priced the Same as gas. Highest stations prices are 2.79.

A few stations here got up to 2.7x in the last few days but most are back down to 2.5x today.

Went to Lincolnton and The gas station was only allowing $10 purchases. Where the hell are you going to go on 4 gallons of gas?
In a car w/ halfway decent gas mileage, that's > 100 miles. That's a pretty long distance. For me, that's nearly a whole week of commuting in my DD.....

It sounds like an asshole thing to do, but if they'd done that from the get go (to deal with the idiots rushing to fill up when they didn't really need it) there never would have been a spike.

If everybody backed off to only buying enough gas to get by for a little while, a getting a little, more often, then we could accommodate for a diminished supply a lot easier.

My dd gets 19 mpg which is ok with me for a 4wd truck but damn i drive 52 miles a day!! $10 worth would just piss my truck off, by the second day i would have to walk home. They could have at least said 10 gallons, dern.

Yea, I drive 120 miles a day @ 21 mpg. $10 is about a days worth of fuel. Thank goodness I dont drive the waggy!!! @ 11 mpg, $10 is just enough to get from one station to the next!

Still at $2.50 here in Hamptonville

I haven't really kept up with it, been busy with moving this week. But I pulled in to fill up the diesel today and the Murphy Express on Hwy29 in Concord was out of 87 & 89 octane gasoline.
