This is the official page of the Golden Mountain Speedway and Off-Road Park ! We will be posting updates on the progress of the track and off-road park on this page. Seems like a pretty hard sell to NC and VA folks with Windrock being closer...

Yall lucky! Guches and URE are the closest thing to me. Other wise it's 8 hours.
 
I just read on FB that some of the land was sold and is a subdivision now. The Bowl? So how long will a race track and offroad park last next to a bunch of houses?

Not to mention the other 50-11 trails. Even if they only have 1/2 the trails left, it's still worth the drive

Yeah, not sure how it is divided up currently... The area behind the racetrack, where the moto track was, was a separate piece of property, that they had access too.

Based on this imagery, it doesnt look like many houses have been built in there:

What's so great about a 2' tall ledge? 😂

Exit of Crack Head is soooo awesome. Toss in some BeeHive and everything to the left of the race track too

Windrock is the sanitized well spoken debutante, who really isnt into anything but herself but comes from money, is always immaculately dressed and everyone speaks well of her.

Golden Mountain is a country girl with a dirty mind, cut off jeans a flannel button down and thinks you hung the stars and moon.



One is just a whole lot more fun...but until you know...
 
Always down for a park to open. 5hrs from me, not a bad drive. I never got to wheel golden MTN 1.0, but would check out 2.0 and if it sucks go to windrock or any of the other areas around there to ride.

I’m not doubting the park, just I have more trails to conquer before I go further out. I honestly wasn’t super impressed the couple times I went to AOP. I’d much rather Harlan or GER. If they stay open I’m sure I will make it there some point.

Didnt I read somewhere that all the stuff to the left of the racetrack was turned into like a housing development? I hope it wasnt.

You need to move to TN.Alot of riding within 3 hours of me.
2.5 hours to harlan
2 to Windrock
2-2.5 for Royal blue,brimstone,the salt mines.
Tellico and Mountain city was about 2.5 and Chinquipin was 2 hours.
GM is about 3 hours.
