Been thinking of getting one for around the house.

Primary uses will be hauling things around (weeds to compost pile, fallen limbs to burn pile, firewood from back of our property to the house, etc.) and cruising from pond to pond w/ the kids and their fishing holes.

I'd like a 2 seater w/ the bed on the back and gas (not electric) propelled. Basically looks like Club Car Carryall and Textron/EZ-GO Cushman are the main players in the market. From my research, the Kawasaki engines are the most sought after. I've considered a Gator/Mule/etc. but don't think I need that much and don't want to spend that much.

From those with experience, what else do I need to know about these things? Anything to stay away from? Any brand better than the next? Any advice / insight appreciated.

Take a look at the brand Tracker. We have a Carryall with the Kawasaki and it’s a cold natured bitch but if you keep good gas in it and a little maintenance they seem to run forever.
Man they build everything from a yard cart to a trailing arm 130hp off roading beast.

I rebuilt a 1984 EZ-GO Marathon. It came out looking good i thought. There's definitely differences in engines. Mine is not very powerful but runs good after the rebuild. Check out buggiesgonewild.com I got a lot of good info there.

I still don't have the latest updated picture....from last year. There's a black rubber trim piece that went on the front lip and a plastic guard for the shocks that goes on. I also got new seat covers. The only problem is that the muffler is fubared. A baffle fell out or something and I've yet to cut it open and make the repair. It's loud as shit in the 'hood.

I have a tracker offroad 2020, gas 15hp, i absolutely love it, tons of power, geared lower than normal, only runs 18mph, rear locker, will pull wheelies and donutz hahaha, i got the four seater, i was going to get the one with a composite dumped, take it in the woods and does great. 6300$ at any tracker dealer.

Made by textron, but in an offroad version tracker

Id buy it

Thanks for all the input guys. Those Tracker Offroads are bitchin! Little too rich for my blood right now but I could certainly see that thing getting used a lot! I'd like to keep it under $4k if I can. I've certainly seen some deals out there but I just don't have time for any more projects right now. Got too many cooler ones to focus my attention on and I just need a little work horse that will shit and get around the house. Depending on election results, maybe I can scoop one up for a steal.

I’d sell you my $2000 carryall for about $4000

We use an ezgo workhorse bought new in 04. 18 hp briggs v twin--cable locker--electric dump bed. Have used and abused the shit outta this thing. The only trouble we ever had was with the fuse box being exposed to the under bed elements.
Right now it needs spring and shackel bushings as the old ones are completely gone/worn out. I'd buy another one
tomorow if this one gave up the ghost as it has always given us good service.

Exactly what I want....I just can't get my head and heart to agree. Especially when some very decent jeep projects are had with the same money.
Same, tough to think I can buy a trail ready rig for that money and hit some of the best stuff on the east coast yet I'm going to use this for my wife to pull weeds / pick up fallen tree limbs and carry to our compost / burn piles. o_O

exact place Ive been for months.
Reminds me of about 8 years ago...my dad bought one of the first big 1000 class utility sxs...I dont even remember which one it was and paid like $16k for it. I told him hell for that price Id buy a TJ and a trailer. We like to give each other shit so he responded.
He responded "Tell me one place that TJ will go that my sxs wont?"
I said "I-77"....

We've been eyeing up golf carts, LSVs, & utility carts lately too but stuck in the same position with the cost. I could buy a whole sami!

No surprise, but we have a project gas golf cart but wanted an electric to tool around campgrounds.

I see a line...

Wait, maybe that's not it's intended purpose

Sounds like he should add an RC crawler to the collection. Then it would be functional without having to rebuild it each time.

I like where your head is at! @CasterTroy you need to add a baby billy goat replica to your collection
