I was in a wreak earlier on a 4 lane highwayhighway guy turned in front of my I t boned him in the side at 55 mph. My question is it best to get a lawyer or just let the insurance companys handle it? I went to the hospital just for a check up nothing broke that I'm aware of just bumps and bruises and alot of sore lol.

Make sure the other insurance company provides you a rental vehicle ASAP. This will make them want to hurry things along. Dont settle for less than you think you are entitled to (I hate using that e work, but in this case, it is the right word to use). The other ins co will try to lowball the crap out of your settlement. Shoot for what it would take to replace the same vehicle (if it wasnt for their client, you would still be in the same vehicle). Good luck and take some asprin.

Glad you are OK, I imagine you will be more than hurt when you wake up tomorrow adrenalin will fool you as to your injuries. I T-boned a car that spun out in front of me @ 60+ mph on I-40 and 30 yrs later I have multiple issues w my neck/back that are getting worse w age. You may be Ok, but it may take years to find that out and the insurance agencies will want you to settle quick, take your time and get yourself checked out thoroughly. If I knew what I do now I would have gotten a lawyer at once.

That's what I'm worried about is stuff showing up later. I talked to some other ppl and looked on line and said to get a lawyer cause they will try to get money for stuff later on that might come up after this

Yea adrenaline is a bitch I just out of the jeep felt great for 20 mins or so then starting feeling a lil pain now 5 hrs later I'm laying in bed hurting like hell. But i will say the Ole wrangler took a beating. Air bags didn't go off not sure why, but luckily I'm at home and no major Injuries

Do I go to my insurance or there's to get them to get a rental car? Cause I have nothing to drive now.

You weren't wearing a seat belt? I'd say you are screwed if you try to file an injury lawsuit.

It'll probably go like a standard accident. Were any tickets issued?

If your claim has not been approved with in 3 days of the accident. Get a lawyer, PERIOD...

I would be blowing up their insurance company's phone for a rental TODAY. If you were wrecked a crew cab truck, I would demand a crew cab truck, not a prius.

If you are going to have any injury claim, GET A LAWYER! My wife had a lil parking lot accident where a lady backed out into the side of her car. Everything was going smooth until they found out she went to a chriropractor (unrelated to accident), they then denied the claim and fought us b/c the said she was trying to file an injury suit. All we was asking was for them to fix our car... In the end our lawyer got us a lil extra for loss of use or some crap like that b/c they drug their feet.

Some insurance companies are better to deal with than others. What insurance company will you be dealing with? If you decide to go the lawyer route remember they are going to get 1/3 of whatever is settled on. Sometimes you can do better on your own if you stand firm and there are not alot of variables involved. Property damage is just that, and there is not that much wiggle room. Serious injuries resulting from a wreck leaves a large range of offers and thats where an attorney comes in handy.

National general is there insurance called and got a claim started with them kept asking about a rental and they said the adjuster has to do that so I've been calling her with no answer

I don't think there's any serious injuries. My wrist and hands hurt very bad the hospital gave me braces for them, and some pain and sorness in my neck and back. I just don't wanna let the pains go and settle then the pains turn into something more serious

Pics don't look bad. But it busted trans or case, bent control arms broke the front housing. And in side busted console and dash

The insurance adjuster won't answer the phone so I can ask about getting a rental car. I'm going to speak to a lawyer at 330 today just to see what he says and if he can help me any my neck hands and wrist keep giving me more issues

You will hurt worse tomorrow, call the lawyer. I could barely get out of bed on the second morning after my crash. Go to an Orthopedic doctor. I would request an MRI done on my neck if I were you. I assume the other driver was at fault? is so they are liable for all your injuries and the cost of any care you receive until you settle.

Yes other driver was at fault. Going to speak to the lawyer today. Prob gonna make a appointment with my family doc tom then let him refer me to specialist

Call your insurance company. Tell them you're getting the runaround. They should take care of you and get reimbursed from the other company.

Regarding injuries, you need to wait as long as possible to settle. Not an auto accident, but I had a really bad fall while snowboarding back in the winter of 1998/99. I got up and boarded the rest of the day. The next day my neck was so sore I had to grab my hair with my hand to lift my head off the pillow in order to get out of bed. It was sore like that for about 1-2 weeks, then got better and felt fine for the next few months. I figured I was in the clear. WRONG! About 3 months later is when the real pain started. I still suffer with neck pain daily now, 16 years later. You should hire a lawyer and wait several months before settling.

I hired the lawyer he's only gonna charge me for what he gets out of injury claims so all the money for the jeep will come to me. Said he'd have my money by Friday for the jeep and a rental tom
