Got about 200-250 to spend on the Jeep..

I know how I feel about rockers that bolt to frame and body.
I don't like em.
I got my rockers early on.
I just did a body lift, so I could do a bellyup.
Suddenly I'd need new rockers?
(This next bit might be me on crack, but it seems logical to me) There is a reason your body isn't metal on metal to the frame. They do flex slightly different. Also you don't want to have that metal-metal path for any vibrations if you can help it.
(at least in my mind as stated before)
I know I've also bashed the crap out of mine, used a hi lift on them and other stuff, and never had a problem. (Other than needing some touchup paint.)

So my vote is for the ones that only bolt to the body. They are plenty strong.

okay, that'll work then.

I have to drive to Greenville Monday, so Im thinking I might swing by the Raleigh 4WP store and look around there a bit.

Any discounts for NC4x4 guys Greg?

I think im going to go with the rocker's, mostly because thats where Ive run into the most trouble in terms of watching out for damage and such.
I know the cage is a priority, I just don't wheel the jeep enough right now to make that seem like its the top though. I also have a sound bar I would need to work around.
Im not sure what rockers to get though. Im really wanting a set that bolts up to the frame and the body in order to facilitate high lift use..I like the warn rockers, but im not sure if they bolt to the frame...any suggestions?

Did you not see the pics of the Jeeps I posted, not one of them appeared to be a trail jeep. I feel much safer that I have a front cage installed as my jeep is a daily driver and I have driven it on 12+ hour road trips as it sits now.

Rockers, bah, I got some and they're nothing more than some angle bolted to the body and they've been banged upon. I've used the hi lift on them with no adverse affects.

But, it's your safety, not mine

cheers.

no cage yet, but honestly I dont get into situations where I feel like the jeep is going over, being that its my DD and all.

Famous last words.......... thats all i am saying.

Dont know if anyone answer this...but i 32 will fit on the stock carrier...i have 35 on mine. The bigger tires will start to tweek the tailgate over time...but you roll it way before thats ever an issue:lol:
