Damn I would have smoked some meat. But I was too busy traveling to hang out with my friends that didn’t invite me

Don't feel bad Noel, I used to get invited to a lot of rides, but after getting older ( I guess) it's been years since I had an invite. Last 5 years, I've went once with my good friend George. We had a good time each time though. Last time was Harlan, this year over the 4th. That time my friend Brian went too. Most of all the guys I used to wheel with have went the SXS route, or, just quit all together.

Sweet truck for sure. When it started up, it didn't sound like a Ford starter. Sure enough, it's got a sorry ass LS under the hood. Dooder sat with us at the BBQ dinner Saturday night and was super cool. Even though the Ford with a LS transplant caused great levels of smack talk.

Hung out with Kam, aka Oreo the XJ, quite a bit too. She also part of Team Ironman and turns a lot of wrenches on it. It's a great build and she wheels the piss out of it.

This rig is owned by dude who runs Overbuilt Empire Offroad shop. Very clean build and very detailed. He was part of the NY/Connecticut group we rode with Saturday.

@StretchASU already mentioned the Willys. That rig is perfection. Underneath it's all fully engineered to function. You wouldn't know till started looking that it's as well thought out as it was.

I’ve got to get back in a rig again. Sold the rubicon a few years ago. I knew better. Looks like a blast. Does anyone wheel a stock wheelbase 2 door jeep anymore? Saw only one in the pics I believe. Seems if you ain’t stretched you ain’t making it, or you’ve got to take the bypass.

2 years ago when all the rest of the Winston Drunk Ass Crew was still hungover, @StretchASU and I wheeled all day with his TJ on 35s and my pile on 42s
Same trails, similar lines.
There's a definite place for nimble rigs

What @Jody Treadway said. My wife wheels the TJ now. It’s stock wheelbase all adjustable short arms on 35’s. Locked on both ends. She hangs with us just fine with the exception of a couple of lines we always know she will need to winch. In some cases she makes it through easier than we do because it’s narrower and more nimble.

I would like to say I wheel a stock wheel base 2 door. But, the only time I go is the gtg. I'd love to go more.

Hell yeah, as long as it didn't interfere with my kids stuff that weekend. Which is a struggle now that the friday night lights are back.
