and to further the pot......

those would be russian troops. The ATT that John Kerry signed gives authority, although in a round about way through authorization of another nato document, for nato nations to come repossess firearms that were manufactured in their country.

I.E. Russia has the right to come collect all AKs and SKSs of russian origin.

Imagine if you will, that the govt passed a bill outlawing "assault rifles" and Russia and China decides that it would like to sieze control of all the grandfathers russian and chinese manufactured "assault rifles"

now we are talking about blue helmets coming door to door to search houses. and its all authorized by the Obama Administration.

*** side note, before you argue that the ATT doesnt say that, read the fine print and subsections about what other things the ATT authorizes. its been a while since i dove into it, so i dont recall the other resolutions but its there if you follow the trail of the fine print.

Yeah its been a while but seems like that's how it was explained to me also.Me personally I'm more worried about all these brain washed hs kids that are gonna be future voters w liberal views. The Democratic party is on their game and I feel like its just a matter of time before we all loose.I might not see it in my life time but I feel certain Jake will.

@jeepinmatt

Likewise I wasnt familiar with the 3% thing either until that post. I found the same thing you did and instantly found that to be a damn good rallying cry. I mean it literally emotionally moved me., hell yeah. I am a the modern day rebel.

Then later that day I was driving and thinking and...forgive me I am a nerd...and some interesting thoughts about the Revolutionary War were just stuck in my head in conflict with that message.
I was certain there was a higher % of engagement in the Revolutionary war than WW2...I knew I had heard that some where...but if only 3% opposed it couldnt be true.

I knew I had 18 hours coming up in the car last week so...off to books on tape and audible my favorite time passer.

Ok...the 3% wasnt adding up. After a ton of digging the only thing I can find is the 3% correlates to the 80,000 pensions filed after the war that accounts for the 3% of the population.
Now this excludes those who fought and died during the war. Those who fought and deserted. It excludes everyone who fought in militias which by estimates had 2x-3x as many members as the Continental Army.
You also have the Navy (state and federal), privateers, the Continental Marines, and of course the French who were incredibly important to our success but dont meet the strict definiton.

All told looks like it may have been closer to 48%, still a minority...but a far cry from 3%.

Though we may be down to 3% today.
No compromise.
No surrender.
We are the III%
You've drank enough beer with me to know where i stand...

Sorry dude but I automatically thought of that commercial that talks about how much smarter people who read are, then procedes to try to get you to buy a book on tape.So hows that makin the buyer any smarter??? If anything he (the buyer) is the dumbest of the bunch. To be determined in this case I guess.

I'm enjoying a cold natty light while I type....

It's just that 3% ain't 3%
