H1 Hummer - A Slow Build

He had the bids starting low. I think it was up to around 2k with about 5 days left till the auction end
I wonder what it went for... Doesn't really matter; just curious.

I put the Hella HID lights on the light bar a couple of weeks ago, and it made me realize how yellow the light was from the stock headlights. As a result, I ordered a pair of dual beam HID headlights. The low beams are HID, and the high beams are Xenon. It was a pretty easy install. It took all of 15 minutes to install them.

Sold.....

I always wanted one, but it was a little underpowered. I was going to have to drop a 6BT Cummins into it to have the power that it needed. Before shucking out 6-8K$ to do that, I decided to see if anyone wanted to buy it. And they did......

That's what I always wondered...seemed cool to have a Hummer to say you have a Hummer, but the power numbers really seemed impressive and the interior just seemed so utilitarian to me. For me, it would be tough to swallow the purchase price for something you could easily sink another 10-20k in.

I bought it with eyes open. I knew that it was no good for rocks or narrow trails, and that it would get poor fuel economy. It was on the bucket list, and now it is off the list; along with the 200mph Porsche. I have another item on the B-list that I have been contemplating building, but I don't know if I am ready to do that just yet....

I hope its a 1971 Ford F250 Crewcab restoration. If so, I've got just the thing you need!

Its's an older Bronco project???????

No Bronco. I have an idea for something totally different from anything that I have ever seen. I will probably be gathering parts for a couple of years before getting started...
