Just switched to a new barber. Vietnamese guy that a buddy recommended. For $35, I get a haircut, beard trim and a straight razor shave. Plus he has cold beer and video games at his shop.

I have a member here cut my hair 99% of the time. Only time he doesn’t is when I’m short on time as he’s 30 min away and I almost always have to wait.

I know there are Charlotte women that pay over $300 for a cut and color.

I grew up going to the same barber for over 10yrs. There was another barber there that was a younger and a pretty wild guy outside of work(Got some good stories!) I was in this guys chair on a really busy day when when a guy walks in with hair nearly to his belt line. Barber says very loudly, “HOLY SHIT MAN! YOU BEEN SAVIN YOUR MONEY AIN’TCHA!”
Myself and about 3 of the 10 guys waiting started laughing so hard we nearly fell out of our chairs. Shop owner and mr. long hair glared at him until I left, tears still in my eyes.

Oh man do I have a story for this...

So I was on the hunt for a new barber. The one I used to go to is now an hour away from my house, which I did not want to make the drive to. Found a place on-line, decent reviews, looked nice. Well I set off to find the place and it's no where to be found. Address listed is a bar. Call without any success. Back to the google machine and I find another place near by. Drive there and it's in a pretty shady strip mall. Ok, what ever, I have to get my hair cut today. I have an interview later in the day. I park and a truck pulls in beside me. Out pops a midget. Not an everyday sight. I walk into the barber shop and it's a black barber without any other white customers in the place. Well, can't back out now. A few minutes goes by and another white customer comes in and makes me a bit more comfortable about getting my hair cut there. Well behind that guy walks in the midget. The only barber in the place calls out to him, "Hey, you want to get that guy (pointing towards me)." I'm thinking to myself WTF?!? That's when I notice the platform around one of the chairs. This guy is a legit barber. Well I sit and he starts. Let me tell you, holy uncomfortable. Dude is breathing down my neck the entire time hes cutting my hair and I have to hold my head to the back and sides so he can reach. It was the, hands down, most uncomfortable hair cut I have ever had. To top it off, my hair was completely lopsided and there were parts that went untouched... Good times....

TL;DR Got my hair cut by a midget and came out lopsided.

Hey, midget is un-PC. @Dylan W. prefers "little person".

Great clips .... Had a good friend who was a manager at one for several years until she got married and moved out of town.
Now its quick, decent, and everywhere ..... boobs are a plus.
Not too particular about my hair .... the difference between a good haircut and a bad hair cut is 2 weeks.
Don't let anyone touch my beard when it's beard season tho .......

$5 hair cuts at the salon...if you wanna call it that. There's enough cigarette smoke in there that it would set off a smoke detector if she had one and enough dog hair to build three dogs laying around. But it's a $5 haircut that's great and she let's me work it off most the time to stop her toilet from running or replace a light bulb. Been going there close to 25 years.
the real question is how many times have you had to fvck her to "work it off"

i used to enjoy the speed and $10 price tag of haircuts on post. Then i used to enjoy the cost of doing my own high n tight, got pretty proficient at it. Now i thoroughly enjoy a 30min haircut with neck shave and hairwash.

I thoroughly enjoy working for my wife to enjoy her monthly 130$ haircut and dye, and the other $$$ for nails, feet, wax, etc and then the monthly cosmetic products. To me, these are like a utility bill. Why in the world would I want to impede my wifes capability and desire to give a shit about her appearance?

Like some others, I don't have enough hair to pay for a hair cut. I usually buzz with the 1/8 guard I have and let the wife trim my neck. I also shave it at times. I couldn't pick two options.

I've been doing my own for years with clippers. Every now and then I'll get the itch to feel fancy and go to the lady jane's up the street, something great about having some broad wash your hair that's hard to beat.

Kingpin style. LOL

Quoted for truth!

Barber shop, but a lady Barber. She's been cutting my hair going on 15 years. She used to teach barbering too.

Amen to that...actually usually a fight when the wife and I discuss our budget quarterly. She's pretty quick to swipe a card, been a battle I've been fighting for 13 years...oh well. But her first target when she says she's going to cut back is always hair/nails/makeup/perfume/etc. That's one area I WANT her to spend in. I'm pretty sure at this point, I'm getting played like a fiddle...but she smells and looks better than me...so I'm good with it.

Yep, color melts & balayage on long ass hair gets expensive. Luckily @Mulishajoe cuts his own to offset the cost of my beauty routine :D

Haha! Sounds like us too. As others have said, I never question money she spends on making herself look good. I know it is important to her, and I like it too, LOL.

Mom always cut mine and my brothers' hair growing up and through college. After I moved out I buzzed it myself with #1 or no guard once a week. Intimidated an American Indian co-worker who thought I was a skinhead and possibly racist, funny because he was a mentor of sorts and we work closely on a daily basis and always friendly to one another. Anyway thought I should get a more business professional cut and started getting the cheapest cuts I could find. Usually about $10 at Great Clips, Sports Clips had too many stuck up college chicks that were annoyed that I was asking them to do their job and usually hated my cut after. The homo manager actually gave the best cuts there, but he got canned for stealing from the register. Then a friend turned me onto a barber that does cuts, straight razor hot shaves, and has good music/refreshments for about $20-25. Now my wife does it. She had never cut hair before and thought I was going to have her scissor the whole thing. Gave her my old clippers and said if you mess it up we can shave it off and it'll be fine in 2 weeks. She can't blend, but it's a free cut, she likes doing it, and no wait time!

I've been cutting mine for 20+ years same clippers, they have a built in vacuum then I get the wife to trim my neck
It seem there's less to cut up top now a days o'well less to do.

It's not gossip, dammit. It is "prayer requests and congregational concerns" we discuss (and share).

I guess...it's more like information sharing and keeping up on current events. I've found out a lot of stuff that nobody else knew about...you'd be surprised what people will tell their barber!
