Here is mine. Just installed it a few weeks ago before my trip to moab. Thought I would need it there and it would be a benefit on those long interstate drives. Though it did help give my foot a break for a minute or two, it just wasn't practical enough to use on the highway. Once you get it set on a flat part of the road you would have to give it a few more clicks to get up a mild hill. And once you start going down again you'd have to back it off again then try to find that sweet spot again once it flattens back out. Just too much to have to deal with for long periods of time. And on steep hills, forget it. My jeep just wasn't strong enough to pull tall hills with the hand throttle.
But on the trail it was real nice as a cruise control for those parts of the trail where your just driving to the next obstacle. I didn't have to use it on any obstacles yet because I got more control out of using my foot. But I've been in situations in the past where I wished I had it. Once that happens again I'll let you know how it works out.
As far as the type its one of those kits from teraflex. The instructions came in handy for routing the cable though I didn't really like how flimsy some of the hardware was. But I made it work and as of yet no failures.
