Hardest accelerating car you've drove/rode in?

put another 87 buick grand national down!

I had this car and a 1970 455 powered GTO at the same time and the goat couldn't even keep the GN in sight for more than a second off the line. The GN had neck snapping power off the line (if you could get it to hook). I never had so many accidental tire spin off the line.

It MIGHT catch up around 150+mph if you had enough road

Hands down it has to be my old 73 Scout II,258 ci of raw power, and with drum brakes all around your thrill ride feels like its never gonna stop.:driver:

Fastest 2 for me are...
2010 Z06 'vette (bone stock) and dodge ram SRT10 (insane for a 4-door pickup)

Scared the crap out of me going that fast in that car. Thought the sunroof was going to suck right out of it.

The car puts down a little over 1000 horse at the front wheels at 32 pounds of boost. Too much money into a honda if you ask me, but to each thier own.

A 780 RWHP 03 Cobra INSANE acceleration.

as far as something i own, my 71 Duster Superstocker is a hoot to drive, front wheels 4 ft off the ground out past the 60 ft lights. As far as fastest driven either the 72 Motown Missile Nostalgia Pro Stocker I drove @ Roxboro a few years back, or my ride in a low 4 sec 1\8 of mile Top Sportsman Cobalt ( 454 alum sml blk in a Rick Jones chassis ) @ Piedmont this year during the IHRA event.

I drove a race only Ariel Atom around my neighborhood one night. It was pretty nuts. No windshield no lights at night. 250hp Honda motor and less than 1000 pound car i believe. I think they are 0-60 in 2.2 sec or something. Didn't look up all the details but it felt faster than my 1200cc Buell. Two completely different fast feelings but the car was a blast.

Edit: looked it up, 1300lbs, 0-60 in 2.9 sec

looking like a thread winner... 4.xx in the 1/8th is moving

i tell people it's like launching a monkey into space. All i had to do is pull up hit the switch on the onboard computer, hit the transbrake and when i let go of the button the computer shifts the trans, fire the nitrous , and lower the shocks then @ the bottom end I reach up hit the chutes, turn off the power and put the car in neutral and coast off the end. Still it's a helluva ride for 4 sec.

Well last week I got the privilege of driving my cousins 70 SS Chevelle around for the day. He built a 69 SS all original Big block car a few years back and decided he wanted to keep it for the shows and cruise nights so he built this 70 SS.

It has a built LSX in it with a 6 speed for some dumb reason but it is hella fun to drive at least in a straight line. 4th gear with the street tires on it 60mph grab a good bit a throttle and just buzz the rear tires until you get out of the gas or get to scared. LOL I think I went through a set of rear tires just driving it around one day. Put on the cheaters and it hooks and gets going in a hurry.

Can't list specs, but a buddy of mine has an 800rwhp 502 powered 71 C10. I've ridden and driven that truck a handful of times, and I'm pretty sure I'm done street driving anything with that much power.

I've gotten out of breath before just watching an in-cab video of a guy's prostock diesel

You know it's scary fast when you lose your breath just by watching a video.

to be honest, most of the time i don't take a breath from the time i let go of the button to the time i hit the chutes i hold my breath and hold on tight. Then when i fell the chutes hit ( which will snap your neck forward just as fast as accelation will snap it back) i can breath and know i made it through again.
