Dog Food Advisor is an awesome website to use to look up your dog's food in general. Not going to lie, my dogs eat better than I do. Taste of the Wild, Whole Earth, Earthborn, or Castor & Pollux. (I don't think dogs are supposed to eat corn...) Good food, less health issues, less vet visits, better life.

Sometimes I feel that I am to dog food as Bobby Boucher was to water.

Ok, I'll get off the soapbox now :D

Also, I don't think I had ever heard of any of those dog foods on the recall list....

We subscribe & save Taste of the Wild here, so I had not heard of any of the foods listed, either.

If they're not supposed to eat corn my lab is a dead man walking. He eat's dried field corn like most dogs eat kibble. If I find dog poop in the yard I know if it's his or not instantly, sometimes his look like a payday bar theres so much corn in it.

Purina Pro Plan for mine as well. Auto deliver from Chewy. Glad to see it’s not on the list, thanks for the post!
 
1) Good looking out, Ron
2) 50/50 mix of Blue Wilderness and Purina One...plus leftovers/table scraps. I usually buy dog food and dog treats based on protein content, but it's always been one of those things that I think folks have way too much of an opinion (as I state mine here). IE: I only feed my dog boiled chicken and raw steak...well your dog is also eating a turd right now. You shouldn't feed your dog table scraps...got it, I'm sure strays are consulting their vet prior to tipping over a trash can. I only give my dog this boutique $100/bag scientifically matched to his breeds needs...you're right, because there aren't a million other of that breed out there eating turds and table scraps and just happy and healthy.
 
My dog had skin problems when he was young so I switched him to apex salmon made in columbia. Never had a problem since. He doesnt eat much dog turds but he loves chicken shit.

My vet said its high in protein so it will make them fat if they eat a lot along with food.
 
Apparently cats poop tasty candies....according to my beagle.

Dog's and their food are just like people and our food....some of us can eat like shit our whole lives and be fine, others have a heart attack at 30 and are fat. Some dogs can eat a corn based dog food and be fine, whereas others develop skin issues, joint problems, and get fat.

Processed corn and dried field corn are probably different.
 
They put fish oil in cat food that cats don't digest... So it lingers in the cat poops to tempt the dogs.
 
My wife's pup (and my old gone pup) get pedigree from TSC.. not the best and not the worst. Along with whatever the kids and us don't eat. And leftovers that won't get eaten before they turn. Amazing that pups love vegetables. Luk would not eat a green pepper, colored pepper ok, weird, some people are like that also. Gwen devours almost anything.. I miss mr. luk.
