Worked good. I would have been happier if it was a little more stiff, it kinda droops when unsupported 24"+. I'm happy with the borescope for $24. We will see when I try to use it 18 months from now and it may or may not take a charge.
I’ve had that same one for 3/4 years and a it’s a champ.

12hrs in defrost/ wedged open and no change tilted it about 45 degrees nothing shifted.

Took the wedge out before I went to bed, used borescope again the morning, 28hrs later and we still have ice in the tray. So most food is probably still good at this point. So plan is let it defrost more today and maybe lay it on its side tonight. We are leaving for Ohio Tuesday so wife suggested to plug it back in and deal with it when we return.
Drawer is still tight at it was from the beginning.

Water is off. I'm thinking tip it too but how far? 45degrees or on its side. Supposed to stay upright though correct?
Tip it as far as you want. Only issue is oil in the compressor getting in the wrong place. And if you let it sit for a while before restarting it’ll probably be fine.

What’s the model number?

I’ve laid many fridge and freezers on their back, side, front. Let them stand upright a few hours before plugging in and have never had an issue.
Fortunately I didn't have to do this.
@ronGets credit. A little pondering finally got it open. This is my cebeletory thinking juice.

It ended up being pneumatic force not brute that opened it. But with time it would have been easier. 20241124_152522.jpg

It was quite frozen over, I was finally able to slip this on the stuck side, even after recently pulling hard enough I expected to land on my ass when some thing finally broke. There was a gear that was encased in ice. It keeps the drawer square as it opens. The bottom was completely full (some from me pouring 2 liters of hot water in it)
But obviously the ice maker water was running and not shutting off.

Apologies to all the people that said to let it thaw. I really didn't expect this. Lol. In the end it was only $25 for a camera that kinda gave me some inclination. Not nearly as expensive as a repairman.

Well now we know what you would do for a Klondike bar 🤷

Lol those and the icecream were the only casualties I think. Most food was still pretty frozen. I'm going to throw out some tilapia that was a little thawed on the edges,

Now I gotta thaw it out the rest of the way so we can put food back in before we head down the road on Tuesday morning.

Had to be the ice maker. Float didn't shut off water? Not sure. Put everything we salvaged back in the freezer but did not turn water back on, and ice makes switch is off. When I get back next week I'll see if I can figure why.

Ice maker is definitely the culprit. Turned on the water and ice maker. Only to find the first cycle when the water fills the tray it is overflowing. Luckily caught it this time before it froze shut.
