Guys/Gals,

I have about worn Google and Amazon out. I am looking for a belt pouch to put my wallet in. After carrying a wallet in my hip pocket for well over 50 years I have finally had a revelation that the damned thing is screwing up my sciatic nerve. I need to get everything out of the hip pockets. I will also add that I had been warned about that very thing years ago, but as I was a whole lot smarter back then I just didn't pay much attention to that sort of nonsense. So, for you young guys, YES!... that can, and will eventually hurt you!

Anyway, I am looking for a well made belt pouch with loops, not a clip-on that can be easily ripped off by an enterprising crackhead. The wallet (tri-fold) measures 4-1/2" x 3" and is about 1" thick. I am thinking maybe there is something suitable in military gear. If anybody has any ideas as to where I might find something like this I would sure like to hear from you. THANX! :)

Oh yeah... please don't suggest putting it in a front pocket... doesn't work for me. :shaking:

I am thinking epic bread man...

I carry a small wallet in my front pocket with just the essentials, everything else, like family photos and such are on my phone.

I always take my wallet out when I drive for this reason but is there something wrong with walking with a wallet on my ass?

You wallet is 1 inch thick? I keep mine thinned down. It's about 1/2 inch thick. Just the essentials. And it hurts my leg if I drive with it in my hip pocket. I just take it out when driving.

Shit, Throw it in your front pocket. Due to pick pockets, I started putting mine there while living in London. Pretty tough to pick pocket the front pocket. Not to mention you don't find yourself sitting on your wallet messing with your back.

OK, in order as posted:

fanny pack? NOPE! Don't like 'em.

I am thinking epic bread man... Lost me on that one?????

How bout something like these: YES, very nice! Will check it out.

Ah yes, epic beard man's culinary cousin.

Maybe a modified double mag pouch? Already considered that one.

Summary: been doing as y'all mentioned... remove when driving, etc.
BUT... always worried about forgetting to put it back in the pocket.

Front pocket is OK when walking, etc. But not for sitting, stooping, etc.

I seriously do not even know its there! I am a mechanic and my wallet stays in my pocket all day, everyday, even while stooping or sitting. If you make it thin enough you will never notice it.

Don, have you done this Google - "belt wallet" (without the quotes)? Looks like tons of stuff out there. I like to click on "images" at the top to see what things look like, then go to the page for the site, rather than read the marketing tidbits that come up in the web search. Once you click thru to the web site for the product, you can get other ideas for search terms as folks call things stuff we don't always think of.
.
Oh, this is my favorite, but somehow I don't think it will look as good on you... ;-)

What about a man purse or " satchel " as Zack Galifianakis refered to it in the movie Hangover?............plenty of room for a gun in there too!!:D

I feel your pain " sciatica " and cannot sit on a wallet either, I just put it in the console or on/under the seat and have done it so long I almost never forget to grab it when I exit the vehicle. Mountain men, trappers, Civil War soldiers carried their black powder and projectiles etc. in them back in the day, they were called possibles bags and I think they may make a comeback w the popularity of CC.

Rox&Mud (Len) Here on nc4x4 just started a business in January making custom belts and other leather pouches, I would hit him up, you may be able to get something custom made that would fit just like you wanted it too. I don't have his number, I bet Jimmy could put you in contact with him.
