it looks like it's an Australian company, the big rigs over there have those on all the time because of the large animals constantly in the road. Guess it's starting to come to the smaller trucks and other vehicles.

That's what my Aussie friends tell me...kangaroos leave a mark on passenger vehicles, and apparently are as much of a nuisance as coyotes are here.
