Yes, but I assume that are much cheaper than a real lift. Po' people have to sweat more, you know that, we except I mostly see expensive stuff in his ads.

Seems reasonable to me. Although I'd want the stands to have a little more cup to them or bigger lips of the side for security from rolling off.
It's way more practical than a shop lift, and a lot of vehicles need a lot more space under them to do bigger jobs.

Them are some expensive looking concrete blocks.

Put a removable ramp on them for the lowest height. The way they are, too much hassle.

Still to high for a "vette"

I can't really talk....the wifes car is just as low and takes 2 different jacks, a set of stands and 30 minutes to get it high enough to do anything underneath :(

Eh, in those cases your screwed anyway, and already have to use a low profile jack, So the lift stands would be no extra hassle for those, but for the majority of cars, ramps would make them much more convenient...

Exactly why these are used on a vette!

I figured lake of triangulation/lateral bracing would be the big fail.

Ain't no way I'm going under

As short as they are, and the fact that most of the force is vertical, there's not going to be much bending or twisting moment, and no need for anything more than the tie bars between the pillars. Race car setup is done on non-adjustable versions of the same concept made from aluminum or steel, no additional bracing needed, just a tie plate at mid height on the pillars.

yep. "Elephant Stands"... way expensive!

LOL. This '49 would not have cleared trying to use a ramp! Just gotta lift and drop!

I'm spoiled with a real lift, but to get my buddies Vette on it, we still have to jack it up to get the lift arms under. Ditto my son's lowered CRX when he had that. Low cars are a pain to get off the ground no matter what, and for the $520 a set these cost, I still think they ought to have removable ramps for maximum usefulness/versatility.
