I plan on staying in my air conditioned work room and home. Going to URE Saturday tho, thank god I have AC in the Jeep too.

retire to the lake for the rest of the wknd. Rotate beer and water at a 3:1 ratio as long as I can count to 3:flipoff2:

That's what ill be doing as well, I told the people coming on the boat that they'd better stay hydrated cause I don't feel like dealing with people passing out. What lake do you go to?

Well, we didn't go to the mountains, but we did go to Xtreme Ice Center to go ice skating today. It was a refreshing 51 degrees in there while it is 102 outside!!

Winner!

We had our neighborhood 4th of July party on Saturday and I rigged up a Redneck outdoor cooling system in the hosts backyard. I plugged the cut off end of a garden hose w a majic marker ziptied tightly inside, ziptied the garden hose to a dogrun cable and rope, hung it about 8' high between 2 trees about 100', and poked a bunch of tiny holes in it w a pin stuck in a cork, from a step ladder. I then set a big industrial type fan under the overhead misting hose pointed down the line of the hose. It worked great to cool the area and the party when it was 104 !! Everyone enjoyed the makeshift AC. and thanked me for making it pleasant to be outside all afternoon.

thats cool....but if you'd poked the holes before you hung it up you wouldnt have needed the ladder

I zip tied the hose to the cable and poked the holes on the ground first, w the water on..........but needed more holes after setting it all up. and w the hose hung on the cable I could poke them in both sides to make the spray spread out wider horizontally. The ladder was also needed to hang the contraption from the treetrunks. It worked better than I expected w enough holes, one on each side about every foot for about 50'. While I was making it in my yard, I left it laying/spraying on the ground for 10 mins. to get a cool beverage. When i returned to take it to the party a squirrel and 3 birds were on the ground in the mist and spray enjoying the effects allready, the squirrel let me walk up within 10' and just sat there like it was in a trance and i wasn't there! the birds flew off.
