How is this even legal?

I'm thinking that this is actually put out by Hillary's group because I'm not sure that Johnson has the political savvy to pull this off, but check this out:

Double your vote for Gary Johnson

So according to the whois information, the site is registered by John Stubbs who is pushing Republican voters to vote for Hillary. I guess if they dupe enough people into voting for Hillary with whatever tactic they use they will win the swing states and therefore the election. I guess I'd wonder if someone would ever fall for it.

WOW.... they must REALLY think that Gary Johnson voters are stupid.

Wow

We now have organized election gambling and manipulation. This country is screwed.

As crazy as this sounds, I don't see anything here that is illegal or really even "manipulation". It's just a special form of "get out the vote" recruitment.
Pretty intelligent, actually. and yeah I'm not sure I'd give the credit to the Johnson campaign for coming up with it.

Actually I think it's just the opposite.
I don't know any Johnson supporters that actually think he will win. It's all about doing what little you can to voice your dissent and vie for the alternative.
The point is that it will increase the total % for the record next year. If they are over 5% then that opens doors for the next cycle.
so this is a way to capitalize on this yearning for representation while quashing the fear of a Trump win.

What I find funny is it's based on the assumption that the typical Johnson supporter is a closet Clinton fan, or at least that is their backup preference.
But at least in my own experience and reading, Johnson supporters seem to be about 50-50 Republicans and Democrats.

I mean - what's keeping somebody from setting up the EXACT SAME thing but flipped around, so it works for Trump instead?

I guess my take on it is that it's completely impossible for it to be real. There is simply no way for someone to promise that two people will vote for the candidate of your choosing if you vote for the candidate of their choosing. Odds of Madonna actually making good on her blowjob promise would be greater than the odds of this actually being a reality.
