How Is Your Handwriting?

I had an Aunt that wrote cursive like it was in the Book. Even when she was 90yo. My printing was good & then came cursive. It too was decent. Like most here, I don't write much anymore, & my right hand doesn't have good control, as in the past. I may start out cursive on, but the more I write, the worse it get's. A Doctor could read it! Even my printing, is not as controlled as it was. Damn old age! I have a nephew that is 30ish now. Years back I learned he could not wright cursive, & seemed the Schools, didn't require it! What? How do you sign a Legal doc? :shaking:

I see that we are always our own worst critics.

I spent years in quality control. This position consists of writing down discrepancies of fact or opinion.

I didn't concern myself with my hand writing being pretty or neat. Honestly, I think it's quite vain. Although I see the need if it's being published and for monetary reasons. Like a book or article of some sort.

I focused on being legible, easy to read and understand. To the point.

Like @Loudmouthbass , I write in all caps. Looking back my handwriting has been through several iterations, spanning well past grade school.

I am not sure what spurred the changes from cursive, to a mix, to upper/lowercase print, to all caps. My father is also an architect who writes in all caps, perhaps it was inevitable. Being a lefty, I also write "sideways" a technique developed to keep my hand from being covered in wet ink.

My wife gets very frustrated with my shorthand when it comes time to reference a username or password. FWIW, I have actually had people compliment my handwriting.
