This is a curious thread about how long you have had an item for your vehicle and yet to install it.

I have had rock lights for about 8 months now, and a cargo rack I been meaning to put together about a year and half

a year and a half aint nothing. I have some AC parts and brackets I've been meaning to turn into an OBA system for about 8 years now

Straight bolt up? I've had gauges for my CTD Ram since July and a levelling kit since October or so. I'm sure there's more.

One of the first things I bought for the CJ was a new ignition tumbler since the OE one was worn out... it sat in my tool box for 6-7 years until I recently had to rebuild my steering column.

I kinda liked starting the Jeep pulling the keys out and hanging them on the dash so they weren't slapping into the dash or my knee while driving.

that must have been nice

I had an old jimmy I would not worry about a key, as long as I did not move the steering wheel once the ingintion was turned I could come back to it and start it.

seeing Brent post here reminded me of a group buy he coordinated, back in ~2003 or so. A Rockcrawler hinge for when I was gonna fab up the ultimate swingaway rear tire carrie/bumper with hi-lift jack mounting and a detachable bike carrier. Ahh, the best laid plans...

is it still on the shelf?

AC parts for my 72 skylark, had for about 3 1/2 years and yet to install....4bbl intake and carb-1 year

AC compressor for 1972 lemans-1year 2months

1997 jeep- spark plugs 3months ....water temp/oil pressure/batt gauge pack- 1 month 2 weeks

I need to stop procrastinating

60 Front.
18 months in the shop still not under the K5...

Refuse to install ntil the 10b breaks

Eaton E-locker for well over 2 years. Currently have a spool in the front and just haven't replaced it. Hydraulic steering doesn't care one way or the other. although - I am sure the spool adds some heat to the system.

My CB.. took it out when we cut the body off in... '04 was it? '05?

Early Bronco fender flares. Got the poly ones about 10 years ago from James Duff. Never got around to putting on after I cut my fenders. They've been in two separate garages gatherin dust. One day I might put them on.

Alcan Springs
Had them since summer and they are still in the shop.
OBA bracket has been on the Jeep for a year, the compressor however is still under the workbench...

Complete, geared, locked, hi steer D60 sitting in the corner for almost 2 years now. Work and life seem to take over at times.

3 years to install the new speedometer assy in my CJ-5, 2 years to install the new floor panels, 1.5 years and counting on the Dana 44's.

I think I win. I bought my CJ5 in 1986. When I got it, it was finicky starting. Seemed to be the ignition switch. Bought one, but in the process of getting ready to install it, I found the real problem in the rat's nest of wiring under the dash. So...that replacement switch has been on the shelf for 21 years now.

bought heater core for my '87 Toyota 4x truck in '99, sold the truck in '03. still have the heater core, uninstalled.

Four YJ springpacks to replace the CJ rears and the RUF on my zook.

3 years, 4 months, 2 days......but who's counting?
