and why do you keep selling and buying new ones?

Ive had 7 so far working on getting my 8th

Could probably clarify that question, how many cars, how many years. Since someone with 10 cars, over 45 years, is very different than someone with 10 cars over 5 years.

For me, I've had 5 over 17 years.
Sold truck to have passenger room, blew that car's engine, then put 400,000 miles on a Mazda 626, it died, got a maxima, it's speedometer broke, couldn't get it to pass inspection when I moved down here, so I bought the wife a new car and inherited her jeep.

Now trying to figure out how to justify having a second car, (ideally a little truck in good shape with a blown engine I can convert into 100% electric, or have a generator to charge it in the bed :) )

5 1/2 cars, 8 years.
1976 CJ7, had it for a year, sold it and bought a 2000TJ. Borrowed/stole my parents 90 XJ as a DD when my TJ was down, put 80k miles on it in 5 years. Bought a 2004 TDI Passat about a year ago since I was driving 80+ miles a day. Bought a 1990 4wd F150 a few weeks ago because it was cheap. Also have a 1963 Triumph TR4 that is in at least 50 pieces, maybe one day it will be together.

in 8 years...5 1/2 cars.

i had a 99 mazda 626 through high school, which i sold for a 95 cobra. had it a little over a week before totaling it. then got a 98 dakota r/t which i kept for 4 years and sold it for the 94 YJ last summer. also bought an 02 explorer last fall, and we have a 05 mazda 3 as well.(was the wife's when i met her). looking to sell the jeep/explorer/mazda and start over. :)

I've had 6 that were registered and driveable

1. 81 CJ5, about 6 years, rolled it over and totaled it
2. Toyota pickup, about 1 year, installed new engine and sold
3. 1995 F250, about 4 years, totaled
4. 88 Ford Bronco, about 3 years, upgraded
5. 2000 F250, currently 3 years...

Somewhere mixed in there was an M715 for a couple of years...

1995 ZJ 5 speed, bought it off CL because it was a 5 speed and I couldn't resist
2001 Dodge 2500 CTD, browsing CL and came across it. Test drove it, owned it that day. Hahaha.

I need to stop looking on CL.

I'm at 10 in 14 years.

Maybe we could also list the crapiest and best?!?

My worste was a 87 Conquest that didn't run, but after a polish job and wash I still made $150 on it:)

There was a really long thread about this about a year ago?

4 for me in 13 years; 2 4x4s and 2 DDs....
I don't plan any changes for a long time.

I don't have time to count..but I'd put it around 35-45 conservitively. From VW bugs..to several M-series BMWs with a heavy dash of late 60's muscle cars, and just about every type Mercedes built(up to 02 models)) at one time or another.

really...too many. They've lost their coolness and just become depreciating assests that all break to me now.
