How many miles on you jeep 4.0?

I never kept one past the 180k range. But of course these were all in XJs and the body would be beaten beyond recognition around it.
Come to think of it, the ONLY time I've ever seen one split a block or throw a rod was in a friends 93 @200+k. His fault. It was a combination of bitter cold, Fram oil filter, original oil pump and 15w40 oil starting it up and holding it to the floor. Just add alcohol. The hole that was blown through the block was big enough I could've swapped a piston without even unbolting the valve cover.

275,000 on the old green XJ. Rolled it and swapped the engine into another jeep and sold it. No idea on the black one, the odometer quit at 99,000.

I had 380k on mine before it grenaded a piston. Didn't leak since I regasketed it before I put it in some 8 years ago. Knocked a little, burnt a little oil (quart in 3k, changed oil every 20-40k)
