Some people are absolute freaking idiots. This dill hole had a spot next to her one behind her and a whole damn parking lot all around her, but where does she have to park. I was so tempted to just stick it in drive and floor it. And yes I was there first. We were actually standing behind the truck re strapping a board when she parked.

Good thing you didnt leave the truck for 5 minutes or her cousin would have pulled in behind you too!

I carry a set of dykes for just such an emergency. Do a quick scan for security cameras and if the coast is clear... snip off the valve stems on all 4 of thier tires.:fuck-you: It sends them a nice warm message and you are miles down the road when they get it.

I look for people parked just like you and do my best to park right beside them or in front :D

Actually, I don't unless its someone in some really "nice" car that parks out away from everyone in the furthest away spot! Then I usually park my ragged, muddy, diesel truck as close to the white line in the spot beside that car!

Lol, I never do it to guys with trailers, they need all the room they can get, and I like the same courtesy back.

But as far as yuppies that double park across 2 spaces thinking no one will park close to their doors, I double park right beside them in my beater, just as if it were a normal spot. Parking far away is fine in my book, but double parking is not.

I've had to crawl out of the back glass of the Bronco because Shawn parked to teach some double-parked yuppie a lesson...

edited to clarify: double parked when there are limited spaces available.

If someone takes 2 spots way out in the lot and there's plenty of other spots available, I don't bother them. No one was using those to spots and they're just trying to take care of their stuff.

I don't have any vehicles I care that much about..............

It was raining the other day. I went to the grocery store and had just picked up my 6mth old daughter.

I parked near a cart corral and took two spots. One in front and behind. The ONLY reason I did that is because I had a full sheet of 14 ga steel hanging out the back of a short bed crew cab 250 that has a tool box in it. I didn't want someone splitting their head open or slitting their throat on accident.

Some old lady almost got run over giving me the stink eye.

Moral of the story is some people just suck...:flipoff2:

These are the same drivers who look right at me pulling my boat down the road, and just pull out right infront of me regardless to the load i'm dragging and my increased stopping distance. Also the same ones who change lanes and dart right infront of a Bigrigs in heavy traffic on the interstate. :poop: for brains.

I went to the comedy zone one day and this brand new scion XB was parked in two spot so no one could get beside him. I squeezed the jeep in there, since I didn't have the doors on it, I got so close there was no way the driver was getting in on their side, my tires were almost touching the fenders. I was actually still in the space fairly even. He was gone when I came back, hope he was pissed.

I always make a hard turn to point the truck towards my exit and barely put the nose of the truck into the next parking space (thereby leaving 7' or so for me to pull out) in case someone does something exactly like this. Even ignorant people usually stay within the lines and won't park right in front of you if you're partially occupying a space; so it's rarely a problem.

I agree that it was a douche (or naive?) move on the Cadillac owner's part though.

I do that if the parking lot is busy but this shopping center is almost empty till every one gets off work and stops in the grocery store. During the daytime on weekday you could land a 747 in it.

If I were you I would have pulled up as close as possible an sat there til they came out. And make them climb through the passenger side.

We fabricate, sell and service wheelchair accessable vans at work. I have heard some funny stories from people who get thier vans blocked in or cant get into a handicapped spot to park. My favorite is a great old gentleman who is a WW2 vet. He gave up 1 leg and 1 eye on D-Day. He just happens to own a towing service and his son is a cop. He has them both show up at the same time. they wait on the Jerk who "Was just running in for a minute"... 20 minutes ago. His car is already on the rollback and his son is standing there writing an expensive ticket. Quite often, he finds several other things to write tickets for, but that depends on the attitude of the criminal.

I thought about doing all kinds of stuff. All of the above and more actually, but my back was hurting and I wanted to go home. I will, however, be keeping an eye out for that Caddy again. I don't have a sharpie, but I do have a bright blue paint pen.:flipoff2:

Why didn't you just pull into spots like normal? the truck takes one spot and the trailer the back spot? Instead you took up 4 spots instead of 2

I agree, that lady did that on purpose. You park however you liked, so did she.

That Suburban is 18'-4" long. Assuming the trailer is a 16ft deck, it's probably 20-21ft overall, and 8'-6" wide. A standard parking space is 9x18ft. You're not going to fit both of them in two spaces... and you'll need at least four spaces to get them out.

;)

Its times like that I want to be independently wealthy.
Saturday we were hauling my boat when a guy literaly pulled out 50 fee in front of me at 55 mph. It was pretty apparent that his car was his most valuable possesion. I todl the wife if I had limitless money I would accidentally plow him just enough to leave the car undriveable. Knowing that y insuranc ewould go up a tad, but his world would be upside down for a few weeks. Unfortunaely no such luck for me.

Similar thing happened to me when me my buddy, his gf and dad were on the way down to Twittys. Well we were in a cre cab long bed 6.5 dually pullin a 20+ft gooseneck with a mud truck on it doin 70 down the interstate when a mini van pulls out in front of us doing 55. Doubt you could fit and fly between us and them. Sad thing is I see this happen to people everyday, peole don't understand that big stuff doesnt stop on a dime.

Try parking like that and then try getting back out if a lot of people park around you nearly impossible. That trailer is 26 feet total, my other one is 30. Try getting that thing out.

Have you ever even pulled a trailer? Much less parked one? I can just BARELY do that with my little Mazda pickup and a small landscape trailer, no way a Suburban and a 20+ft trailer are fitting. Not to mention you will promptly remove the fenders off of the car beside you when you try to leave.
