How stupid can a person be

ehhh. yeah the parking job sucked..but to be honest I could turn your self absorbed rant back around on you.

What if she was in a dire emergency and parked in the fastest spce she could get it. Knowing you had plenty of room to back straight up and pull out. Ultimately it impacted your day for 17 seconds. But you have ranted about it here for 30 minutes or so...

Don't sweat the small stuff it aint worth the stomach gas.

BTW I might would have rammed her shit

Shoulda got a gooseneck. Them mf'ers can turn on a dime!!
I would love one, but they don't quite work with a Suburban.

I am sure that she had a dire Subway emergency so she parked halfway across the parking lot from it. :flipoff2:
With my sore back and all the mud outside I really haven't had much else I could do beside bitch and moan on here. Gives me something to do. :bounce2:

And keeps the rest of us entertained. Keep up the good work. You are doing an excellent job!

Sawzall Avalanche Mod?

I use the suburban to tow a camper so I understand but........the parking lot appears to be pretty empty? I agree with bbaxter51 and I would have pulled into a space, had the tow rig take up one space and the trailer in the space behind, just my .02
So instead of taking up a short row of spaces, providing what should be easy egress, he should take up two spots and an ENTIRE lane of travel through the parking lot? Good luck cramming that Suburban and trailer into just "two" spots. As Shawn stated, the average parking space is 9'x18'. The overall length of the Suburban + the ball mount, would be right at 19', plus the length of the trailer is 26' overall, not withstanding anything he may would have overhanging the back, or if he had ramps angled back. That is 45' total, meaning if he pulled the Suburban perfectly into the front spot, the trailer would be overhanging 9' in the rear...NEARLY going into the row of parking spots BEHIND that.

Not to mention the liability of lawsuit happy individuals that would love to sue because they walked into the overhang of his trailer and cut their leg open.

Now then, even if it had been able to fit into two parking spaces, all it would take is one car on each side, and a car in the space in front of it across a lane of travel or behind, and he is stuck. No way to make that turn out of the spot without owning one or both of those car's bumpers beside him, and no way to pull forward out of the spot or back up unless he had a complete clear path through the row of spaces in front of or behind him.

The irony in this thread is killing me:lol:
Everyone posting about how selfish the person in the Caddy was and the me, me, me mentality is these days. The dude parked the Sub and trailer sideways in the parking lot where it's obviously not busy, then bitches when someone parked in a legal spot. Sounds like the entitled one was the OP not the other person; they picked a spot and parked legally. The OP did not. Whether it was an inconvenience to the dude with the trailer due to back problems or whatever is inconsequential.

When I'm towing a trailer and need to run in some place like this I park at the back of the lot and walk. I'm not going to slide in the middle of the lot with a big :fuck-you: to the rest of the patrons and I'll ram you if you park me in style of thinking.

It's not rocket science. You parked like you own the place and someone else (the caddy) called you out on it.:popcorn:

Geez. I guess it is true that you can't fix stupid. You just proved it.

OK, I confess WB, that was me & the misses messin with ya. ;)

seriously, that shit happens all the time when I'm towin so I make it a point to park away from all the clowns . you gotta face facts, 90% of the motoring public couldn't even pass a drivers test, much less be considerate of the rest of the folks on the road . Don't let it eat ya up.

I'm not the one that parked like an idiot, got called out on it, then came here and bitched about it. You're right, you can't fix stupid.:shaking:

How did I park like an idiot. I can't get called out on something I didn't do. You are just mad that you got called out on your idiotic park in two spaces comment. Since that one was stupid you have to make matters worse by making other stupid statements. :flipoff2:

BTW: Keep it coming I love a good argument.

I've gone back and forth on this thread. I see WB's point about courtesy and I also see the point of how you parked taking up 4 spots. I think ultimately you should have parked in 2 spaces and hung out on either end. This is what I typically do when I pull my trailer. It at least gives the other drivers the sense that you know you're too big for the parking spots but you're not trying to take up too much room aka you're trying to be courteous to them.

In this case, you sound like you're looking for special treatment just because you have a trailer in tow. it's a 2-way street.

We have already discussed the two parking spot idea. It doesn't work. I really don't see how parking halfway across a deserted parking lot is looking for special treatment. IT would have been far more convenient for her to park much closer to the building than to park in front of me. Next time I will take up 10 spots instead of 4 and then we will call it inconsiderate.

I have an F250 extended bed plus a 20' deckover that I tow with. I always pull into 2 spots. It is doable if you can drive worth, check that, park worth a shit.

edit:

it's the perception of what you did. people don't like people that take up multiple spots. It flies all over me when I see it so maybe this lady felt the same way. That's why I suggested you try the 2 spot method. Yes, you will hang out on either end but it looks better and is more accepted than what you did, IMO.

this is all too entertaining...

first it was a rant on the inconsiderate SOB that parked in front of you, now youre defending your actions of how you parked!!!

interweb is fun... :D

How did you park like an idiot? Is that a serious question? You parked SIDEWAYS against all the lines, not sure how that could be confusing...

So you're truck takes up more than 2 spots, who cares. You still pulled in and parked like it's your house; it's not.

Here's a parking lesson that will save you some frustration. Pull into as many spots as you need and turn like you're pulling back out. Your rig and trailer are now in a V shape. People can park all around you and you can still pull out. Problem solved.

I want to see you park in two spots then have some idiots park on both sides of you and see if you can get out.

If it bothers you that much that someone parks in more than one spot you may need to talk to your doctor about some medication.

I've done it more than once. In this scenario what would have happened? You would have a completely open side in which to turn either towards the rear of the parking lot or towards the store. Better yet you could have backed up and still got out

But you keep doing what you're doing smart guy. I'd rather be in this situation "==" than in this situation "I" any day of the week. Also, because I know it's coming, I plan accordingly when I park. If i know I'm going to be in there 1/2 the day and other cars may surround me, I park as far back as I can in the lot and close to a median. That way people have to be really desperate to want to block me in from the outside. face it, you're the one that parked like an asshole

If posting about someone who parks in multiple spots means you need medication...what does it say about a person who makes five-page thread complaining about someone parked legally?

I'm w Warbeast on this one. He stated he parked away from the stores in the empty area of the parkinglot. I assume there were many open spots closer to the storefront and the one beside the caddy looks open too. I see Aholes every summer weekend who park their huge SUVs and 20+' boats infront of the Grocery store while they shop for the days ice, beer, food etc. and they cause a traffic jam W traffic down to one lane until they move their crap. I think most are also trying to show off their expensive toys. I always park my boat the same way Warbeast did if I need to stop, going to or from the lake-Out away from the crowds in the empty far end of the lot and cocked incase I get boxed in. Pulling through 2 spaces, you might be surrounded by cars that park too close or not pulled into the spaces enough to allow you to pull out and turn when you return to your rig. How can it be inconsiderate to park against the lines in the empty outer area of a parking lot? I guess we should just stop pulling trailors into parkinglots all together because it's just rude.......

If this was the worst challenge I faced on a given day & it really got me "that" steamed...I would just shoot myself.

Hope you have a better day tommorrow being it's Friday an' all...jus' sayin'...not judgin'...have one a these......they help ease the pain

...what does it say about a person who makes five-page thread complaining about someone parked legally?

Seriously?
Blaming the OP for the length of a thread is like blaming the guy in a car accident for all the rubberneckers that slow down to watch afterwards.

So you've got a 22ft pickup truck towing a 24ft trailer... overall length somewhere around 46ft. Pulled in perpendicular to the aisle, means you're sticking out in the road by 10ft.

Sound like a dick move to me.
