Just heard LA gov said it could be one of the worst to hit them since the 1850s.
300 miles wide, higher winds than Katrina.
Yikes
 
It's going to be terrible, especially considering how quickly it intensified and the fact that they didn't have enough time to order a mandatory evac for Nola.

My wife's aunt and uncle live just south west of Biloxi. They got hit dead on by Katrina and are not looking forward to this one.

I've got family in Mississippi..they said the grocery stores look like ours do the day before an ice storm

All the milk, bread and eggs are gone

I was in Walmart today. I get distilled water for my CPAC machine, but Wally was out of All water. And the drinks were in low supply. Meat department look in short supply. The other day a employee at Food Lion, told me they were having shortages, due to the Supply Chain. :(

My buddy Joe in Alabama says he had some light rain and that was it. He’s just out of reach apparently.
 
Raining hard here in Lowgap now. 2-4” expected overnight.
