I Am An 18%er

Hey you got a son, so at least any memories you missed out on you can make with him. My son's haven't driven a Ferrari like yours has! (granted, they are 2 and 4 haha).

I don't think I ever popped wheelies on the lawnmower, we got a 4wheeler sometime around 2000 maybe and I am fortunate that I didn't get killed on it, because that 4wheeler has gone places made dad would never imagine haha. I honestly think the more stuff kids drive, the better drivers they will be. I rode all over the place on main roads when it snowed (on the ATV). Granted, I never got in 'trouble', which may have been why I never had a curfew (guess I never needed one).
I'm a lil older than u and back in my day there was no hydrostatic drive mowers,or at least we didn't have one, just set the throttle and let it rip.I didn't have a four wheeler till I was in my 30's.

Yea his was an old john deere with manual transmission. He would pull the deck off it and let me have fun. One of my friends ran over his own leg trying to stop the mower--instead of pushing in the clutch. Needless to say he didn't drive it anymore.... (only scraped up the back of his leg no real damage)

I have a manual transmission mower now, but I actually wish I had a hydrostatic or zero turn, shifting gears every time from forward/reverse is a pain. (which is why I pay my neighbor $20 to mow my yard haha)

I learned when I was 12 or so behind the wheel of my dad's 79 k30 w/sm465. First vehicle I could call my own was a 97 Ranger, had a 5 speed. I had nothing but manuals up until I was 26 and had been driving legally 10 years.
I just have more fun and feel more at home with a manual.

Some of you buys had some cool rigs to learn on. I learned on a 94 Ranger Splash in middle school. And the only vehicle I ever drove consistently with a manual was 97 Civic. The wife wanted to go JK because it was manual and she prefers them...ended up going Edge though, a little less utilitarian.
