I've had it for years. Like, no shit, probably 15 years or more. It's an igloo little playmate elite. It now serves as my bait cooler on the boat. Well.....did.

I searched for replacement parts but couldn't find any. Then I tried to glue it and that failed. Anyone know of other options? I wish I was some badass machinist so I could make one out of aluminum so I could pass it down to my grandchildren. Maybe I'll go full blown hillbilly and cast one out of old beer cans. That seems fitting actually.

It would cost $1500 to machine 1 of those :laughing:
 
Drill and pin it together and epoxy with plastic stiffener on each side if there is room.
 
I had an epiphany and got to work. I have some hardwood flooring that we never used and I figured it would stout enough for the task. After a quick trace and some shoddy jigsaw work I had a rough product. Copious amounts of sanding and ta-dah!!!!!! I've got a replacement.

You don't throw away family. This thing has toted beers untold. Some of the finest breast milk east of the Mississippi. From high class to bottom of the shelf spirits. Maybe even some fine mountain waters meant for party pleasings. I'm glad I was able to salvage it. Oh and thanks for ideas. I've got a guy I know that does 3d printing. Maybe he'll do me a solid on this one.
