I dislike snakes

When I lived in Florida there was a black snake living in the back yard. I didn't bother him because they take care of the nasty ba$tards. I know that snake had a sense of humor because every time I mowed that turd would pop up some where in the yard right next to me and scare the living shite out of me.

I don't mind the non-venomous ones. Every black and King snake can hang out in my yard as long as they want.

I was playing In a golf tournament a couple of years ago and hit my first shot just a little short on a water hole par 3. Should have been dry, so I went looking for it. While I was standing about a foot from the water, my playing partners went white and told me to look by my right foot. A 3' water moccasin had reared up and had his mouth wide open less than 6" away. After some quick praying, we came to an agreement. He wouldn't bite me and I wouldn't crap all over him. The other group gave me pars on that hole and the next three while I tried to stop shaking, so it wasn't all bad

Late one night at the Hammers, a few years ago, my brother went out to take care of business. While squatting in some scrub bushes, he heard a plastic bag rustling.

It wasn't a plastic bag. I'm not sure if it scared the poop out, but he kept it together enough to get pics.

I used to hate all snakes. I'm now outside enough that I see at least 4-5 daily and have learned to leave the non poisonous ones alone. We even wear snake chaps/gators daily.

I now hate ticks more so than anything else, even spiders and snakes!

I don't mind snakes, or spiders really. Gators on the other hand get me moving. It's a damn dinosaur meant to do nothing but kill. I do not nor will I ever dick with a gator.

The worst attitudes for snakes in my opinion are around that area of Cali. I spent a lot of time working in the deserts of SoCal and had plenty of run ins with rattlers. The Mojave Green Rattlesnake in one bad MOFO that you don't want to get near. Their venom is 16 times as toxic as the Diamondback Rattlesnake venom.

.....my dispreferences are ticks, fire ants, chiggers, mosquitoes and flying/stingy things in that order mainly due to the frequency that they are attached to or biting me. I know more than a few people who've been permanently FU by various tick diseases and I'm not sure I'm not one of them.
