I personaly like the lamp.

Forgive my ignorance, whats a thrasher? A type of drill press, or just a sticker you put on it?

^^^ dates back to, what, late 80s? Back when being a skater wasn't cool

founded in 1981.

the opinions of this post do not reflect the opinions of nc4x4, nbc, disney, cbs, abc, mtv, afghanistan, phillip morris, concord telephone company (i mean windstream), general electric, churches, synagogues, chapels, temples, or librarians.

Yep, I'm an old fart that still likes to skate from time to time. :D

Should I build a buggy with some skateboard tucks?

I skateboard'd in the early to mid 80s and I can assure you, I wasn't cool (but I did read the occasional skate mag.)

Yup, that was me, circa '88-90 or so..
Except my outstanding clumsiness prevented me from any real success at it.

I'm just a geek trying to fit in with all the cool kids. LOL

Now who all remembers the movie with the rebel skateboard kid (a VERY young Tony Hawk was the pizza truck driver / actually did all the tricks shown)...final scene the kid crashes thru the window with the board, thus taking down the 'bad dude?'

(googled it...Gleaming the Cube!)

Course by that point I had my car/drivers license and no longer had the "need" to board everywhere, but before that, it was good transportation and yes I tried and failed at all but the most basic tricks/jumps. But from point a to b...

Will have to take pics of my updated garage...flying the Jolly ROgers now!

Gleaming the cube...classic. Now go watch "The Search for Animal Chin". Bones Brigade in their hay day!

I loved Gleaming the Cue and Search for...

However living on a farm with no, ZERO, zilch asphalt other than hwy 321 in thhe front yard, made it impossible to ever learn how to ride. Something id like to do actually....wonder how much my wife would shit if I came home with a skateboard...

Damn punk skater kids!!!

I've got an original Mike McGill (jet fighter), and an original Schmitt Styxx Chainsaw, plus a new style (popscicle) autographed Tony Alva. My brother has 2 early 80's autographed Tony Hawks. Broke all my Gators.

I also still have half my last halfpipe in my yard for free, come and get it, needs relayered, burn't the other half down. 12' wide by 10' tall, Ricky's seen it.

skate or die - but - I dropped the 10' when I turned forty and quit, didn't die yet. I just did halfpipes, no street stuff.

Charlotte area - did the Concrete Connection, Polar Palace, the big UNCC ramp, Noah's Ark, our halfpipes at Winecoff, the ones off 73, and the second row halfpipe in Cherry Grove. Lived in Daytona awhile and was big in it there plus went to Kona in Jacksonville alot.

Sounds like some nice boards. I have an old vision gator but it's pretty roughed up. Still fun to skate though.
