Right on my back.
This past Saturday I was up on a ladder cutting down some cable (which will be for sale shortly). The ladder was the warehouse kind that look like stairs. I mounted it in the back of a military trailer that was being pulled by a tractor. My FIL got a little too close to some guy wires and I had the bright idea of cutting it free because we were on a slope and he couldn't back up. Anyway, I'm 15' + in the air and I start my cut. All I remember was the cable popping and I was at the bottom with my legs in the air and the wind knocked out of me. I'm sure there was a better way to address the snag but that's all I could think of because I wanted to get back to the project at hand.
Anyway, this is more of a look at the dumbass thread plus a reminder to think things through before you make the wrong choice. For all my efforts I got a 4 hour tour in the ER along with multiple bruised ribs, a couple good scrapes, a sprained ankle and lots of neck pain. It's been 3 days and I still hurt like a son of a bitch.
Here's the pic of my back. It looks a lot worse now because it's scanned over and turned black, blue, yellow and red.
