I need work boots...BAD

agreed with the toe as a tool deal...
Ive only had one pair of steel toe boots, and they are actually SHOES.
They come from a place called Shoes for Crews, mostly for working in fast food, or reastraunts where theres stuff on the floor and slipping would be a bad idea. I used the steen toe more then I can remember, although I never did drop anything directly on it..
I had a pair of shoes for crews! Got them when working a jiffy lube while going to BMW school. They were like $13 and the best shoe I've ever worn. They were comfortable and you could run across a greased up floor and not slip a bit! (wet paint though seemed to be the limit.) I finally wore them out and couldn't find them. Where did you get yours? i'd love to get some more. (They had a cheap plasticy type outer on them, but it didn't wear out. The soles finally wore through.) They were also the only shoe I could wear after I sunburned the tops of my feet a Daytona. (Went to Disney World the next day and they made it bearable.)

Rugged Warehouse over in Cary, next to Northern Tool, has some good deals on name brand work boots.

It's a hit or miss kinda thing though.

I've had great luck with Wolverines in the past but my last ones I got from Bass Pro are called LaCrosse. The most comfortable boots I've ever owned.
Course I'm with Stowe, it's hard to find any shoes when you wear a size 14.
Most of the time I stick with my Rainbows:flipoff2:

I like Wolverines. Sears had decent prices, but I don't like to shop around if I need something NOW. With shoes, I normally go to the first place, get something that is reasonably priced, and somewhat comfortable. Last two pair I have bought take a week or two to break in, but after that they are really comfortable. I ALWAYS use the steel toe as a 'tool' as Woody said.

2 weeks to break boots in? If my boots are not comfortable walking out of the store, I don't buy them.
