Group hug?
RAW is notorious for illegal wheeling. Ive called out some of my own friends for riding power lines with them recently! They have learned not to post anything publicly, but I know for a fact that some of them still do illegal wheeling.

I have better things to do than dig through facebook posts and pictures... Its all there if you know where to look.I think it would be a good idea to post said proof with this accusation.
Mental note, never befriend Rover1 and share any good secrets.

Yea but when you get permission from Duke energy that's no longer trespassing. So no noting illegal there.... Keep lookingHey John, I suppose this isnt you riding power line trails?... Im not interested in getting into an argument here. Someone wanted proof.. well there it is.

Wrong my grad-dad was a big wig up there! So I get singed papers ever time. Where this is no property line They are the real owners of this they bought it out are theres no other people one of the few place like that thoYeah, but Duke doesn't own the land, they just have an easement for a specific purpose (placement of transmission lines, and maintenance thereof). So, unless you have *written* permission from Duke (doubtful) and all landowners whose land you cross, it is still illegal.

Papers from Duke or not, if you are on *private* land without permission (Duke has permission for a specific purpose), you are trespassing. You are not a Duke employee or contractor, performing maintenance, you do not belong there.
If your grand dad is giving you 'permission', even written, even on Duke paper, that means that Duke is taking responsibility (and liability) for anything that you do, or happens to you, while on their easement. I doubt their legal department is willing to accept that.
edit....a challenge...my email is dp (at) sanlee (dot) com Scan and send me a copy of your "permission" from Duke. I'd like to see that.
Sigh so much web drama.
How about this. Just post up an address we will pull up the parcel info online and if it shows Duke as the owner everyone will provide a public apology. If not you will publically admit to trespassing. BTW, if your grandad gave you unauthorized permissionhe is risking his employment or pension.
Okay this thred is going down hill way to fast... For the sake of this thread and sh!t sure I was "trespassing" I I'm tired of all this bs and drama we just need to close this shit and call it done... My grand-dad die no one left to take it so it went back to duke

I hate to say this but I think you are lieing.
Grandpa was a big wig at Duke so Duke gives you permission.
(Sorry son, Duke Energy is a publically traded company. That aint how it works.)
Next Did Duke buy the land, or was there no one left to take it so it went back.
Ever heard the Bearenstein Bears and the Soccer ball bird?
Given RAW sketchy past (remember this is the group that "tagged" rocks at URE) and their repeated public support of illegal wheeling I think the message is loud and clear.
Was left to my grand ma and when she die she did not specify who it went to so went back to DukeNo one? Why did you not aquire it?

It was so unexpected like super unexpected that the will could not determinant
I am going thru a "muddled" estate right now (as administrator/personal rep). In situations where there is no appointed (by will) administrator, or identifiable heirs, there is a very clear process and procedure in the law to determine rightful control of the estate, and rightful ownership of any property. The kind of stuff a first-year lawyer can do. (or even me, doing it myself, with with guidance, for the most part). Property doesn't just "go back" to a lessor (Duke, whose interest in the property is only for one controlled purpose).
If what you say is true, y'all got royally screwed by an incompetent lawyer, and ought to pursue it. (E&O, state bar, etc).
So..... What county is your land in and about how big is it?
