This is pretty slick. Potential solution to the 5th-wheel toy hauler logistics problem.

Although, somebody really needs to get some coaching on how to make a promo video. The shirt, awful soundtrack and bad speaking style makes it hard to take seriously.

Ever drive a concrete truck with a steering rear bridge axle? Lol I have, and let me tell ya from personal experience. When one of those rear steering tires blow, there's almost nothing you can do to keep it going straight. I'd definitely hate to have a trailer pushing me at the same time.....

I think in most states that will require a doubles endorsement

I couldn't watch that guy.. to s...l.......o.....w....

i bet backing that thing up a drive way would be like masturbating with your non dominant hand. no what to know where its gonna end up.

No, it backs the same as any gooseneck. There's no pivot between the truck and the dolly. Granted, the truck is 8 ft longer than normal, so you need a lot of side space to get the trailer moving, but it works just like any other goose.

And yeah, blowout would be terrifying.

Years ago this was out,but had a winch on it. That I thought was interesting on getting a trailer out of a muddy field. I still don't see a Hellya out. It was a trailer hitch mount for load leving. Wouldn't use it at all.

So it'd be great w/ a short WB vehicle - like a Samurai? lol

Also seems like it assumes a pretty stout hitch attachment. if that thing got squirrelly I could see it ripping right off a shoddy unibody setup

Not sure about that, it dosn't look like the hitch is a pivot point - it seems this is essentially adding a fixed "truck" back extension.

watch the video again, the "trailer" has it's own tag, so whatever state he's in deems it to be it's own vehicle. I believe that would be considered "doubles"

2:47 and 3:48 in the video

So the Charger guy took out an engine that weighs 600 pounds and is already a porker (I'm assuming a 5.7 Hemi, but didn't watch that video) and swapped in an engine that weighs over 1000 pounds. Sweet, let us know how that handles.

Should of put the 6BT in the boat.

So what causes the wheels to turn? Hydraulics, the chain tension, or just the natural tendency to follow where they are forced (aka caster, but don't know how that would work in 2 directions...)

holy crap, i just realized that all that when turning is being directed at 1 2" receiver tube. that better be a solid bar and not a tube!

It's weird seeing this post now as I just saw a guy towing with one of these at camp wilderness in Charlotte last weekend. It's actually a special hitch on your truck that the company sends you and its beefy...and is a 3 point hitch. The guy said it's the best thing since sliced bread and loved the extra braking axle. He was towing a 44ft cyclone with a 2015 denali short bed Duramax. The whole set up looked like it was 75ft long at least. He never said how much but I would guess $7-9K considering my B&W gooseneck and companion was 1k total.

I couldn't see the video last night for some reason and assumed it was what I saw at camp wilderness. The video shows today and what I saw was the same thing basically but a hell of a lot nicer than the one in the first post. The one I saw was safetyhitch.com and is a lot beefier.

Someone thought this was a great idea at one time as well!
