Been hearing roumors that it's closing. Anyone...Bueller...

No...but there may be changes last time I talked to him. I'm sure the changes will help make like a little easier on Andy and I hope it works out.

Changes? Like what? I heard he's not taking any new clients.

I can't tell you what I know in case that has changed or he doesn't want the whole world to know, but I wanted to make sure nobody thinks Andy is gone for good.

I heard that he was going to start making parts for NASA...

I heard that he was going to start making parts for NASA...

With the quality he produces, he could. I think if he could get a few guys he trusts that can build to his quality that can afford to work for off road shop money...he'd be set. Course I guess that goes with any business.

I heard he was going into midget porn.

LOL,
Guys, I appreciate the interesting ideas about my other endeavors.......

Yes, we are closing our current location and going back to a simpler time when we could have some fun and not get so burned out working 80-100 hours a week at our hobby.

I have taken a job as inside sales with Fab Fours and will be done at our current location as of Sept. 30. The rent and overhead was killing me and I needed to simplify things. We are opening a new, part-time location in Salisbury. Details will be coming later.

I still will be taking care of parts sales, stocking some parts nobody else does, etc. I will be shipping daily just like we have been as well as having some things drop shipped. I will definitely still be taking care of all of our customers so let me know if you need something. I will be working on the side weekends doing fab work, gears, axle builds, etc.......

Noah, tell anyone you send to leave a message(that counts as a referral and I will take care of them), I will call them back and make a determination if I can help them or not.

You will be able to reach me and the shop at 704-519-6892 from sept 30 on.

Thanks
Andy

Just stored the number. I figured the changes might have been in the works since I didn't here back on my PM. No rush, get back to me once you get settled in.

So does this mean we'll actually get a chance to wheel with you?:bounce2:

Well, part time is better than no time. Thanks for clearing things up! Good luck with your new job too.

Hope everythng works out good on the move Andy.
Me and my buddies are going to tellico for the Dixie Run in October, you going?

That will be cool to have a shop in Salisbury. I used to live in that town. Nice little place and you guys will be closer to me now.

Andy,
I have been there and did exactly the same thing as you are doing. Back when I lived in Calilfornia I was working at my Shop( non 4x4 realated) 12- 16 hours a day. and I had no time for anything else. Even 4 wheeling. That was very frustrating living only 1.5 hours from the Rubicon trail. So I quit and got a good JOB 8-5, and make twice as much $$ as before.

Now I am no longer a slave to my car hobbie. But I now get to Change diapers and Pickup toys.....

Thanks guys. I am really looking forward to it.

We are busier than ever but lack of help, overhead costs, etc. have been really beating me down. I am really looking forward to wheeling somemore once I get things setup up in Salisbury.

I don't think I will be at the Dixie run, not my kind of event. I like to actually wheel when i go to Tellico. I will be up in Hickory for the Jeep show for FabFours, at the Fun Caravan to hang out with my friedns in the CTB, among other places. I am looking forward to getting out wheeling somemore since the buggy is finished and working well......

Thanks and i hope to still be able to take care of everyone's parts and fab needs if you still want me to.

Dave, I didn't get your PM, send it again......

Best Wishes to ya Andy for Blazin' a new Trail ... Thanks for all your help in tha past & lookin' forward to seein' the new shop...

A little Closer for me too. I'll be in Touch...

Hey Andy,

Best of luck in your new venture(s).

I REALLY understand - and I know none of the decisions were made without a LOT of soul-searching.

All the best and a cold
