IceBreaker 2014 is only two weeks away and is sold out! The event will be held regardless of weather conditions so be prepared!

As we approach the completion of Phase I of Big Creek development we are busy opening additional trails, fine tuning existing trails and adding signage. For Icebreaker 2014, the trails will be one way to cut down on backups and congestion and to ensure you have enjoyable access to the property. Please observe the signage and cooperate with UORTC trail monitors.

A Big Creek trail map will be emailed to you soon so you can print it and bring it with you.

Attached are three pdf. Documents; Safety Guidelines, Waiver and Emergency Information. Please print, sign, scan and email back ASAP. This will save you valuable wheeling time on the 4th. We ask that you to put the Big Creek Emergency Information sheet in your 4WD for reference 'just in case'. Otherwise print, sign and bring the signed documents with you. We only need the driver's signature on the Safety Guidelines. We will need ALL persons on Big Creek property to sign the waiver! No waiver,no access! Minors under the age of 18, parents/guardians must sign for them. No one under the age of 18 allowed on Big Creek Property without adult supervision. In other words, we might ask to check your drivers license and ask who is the responsible adult. This is for insurance purposes. UORTC wants you and the company to be covered in the best manner possible!

We are serious about TREAD Lightly! and expect for you to drive and act accordingly. If you have any questions about TREAD Lightly! please visit this link http://treadlightly.org/education/learn/online-awareness-course/
and take the on-line Awareness Course! You will be glad you did!

The gates will open at Big Creek at 9 AM and close at 5 PM. Come early and spend the day! See these directions: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=z5T_5M3b8uhI.krb-u71Fhe34

We have trailer parking at UORTC headquarters or the Eldorado Outpost for those that have tagged, street legal trail rigs. We have limited trailer parking at Big Creek. If you need to bring an un-licensed 4WD/Buggy please let us know so we can confirm trailer parking for you at Big Creek!

At the present time we have no bathroom facilities or food/drink vending on the Big Creek property so come prepared. Icebreaker participants can leave Big Creek and go to the Outpost if need be and return - no problem. The distance is 4 miles each way.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to email or call!

Hi, is there going to be a list of dates for future rides posted? Are there going to be any stand bye spots open for this one? Thanks.

No stand by spots for this one. Sorry. I will list the next Big Creek ride this week (It will be in February). Keep a look out for it. Thanks for your interest!
Appreciate it. I wanted to go to this one but had a lot of visitors and also traveled a lot this Holiday. I just got this weekend free as of today, see y'all next time.

Hopefully I'll be able to get some time off and join y'all eventually.

Super excited for this event and Scott, hope this sets a trend. A good trend for willing investors and men who promote off road use and land management.

You guys are gonna have a blast. I had the pleasure of riding a little here a few weeks ago. Only got to see a small portion and loved it. Hoping I make the next ride here.

Looks like Winter is finally setting in this weekend! The trails will be frozen and slick Saturday morning so come prepared!

Attached is a trail map of the 'One Way' trails. Please adhere to the map! We will have guides available for your help stationed at various challenging areas.

Check in will be at BIG CREEK not UORTC! Please -Be sure to bring all your signed forms if you haven't emailed them to me already.

We will have a volunteer working the gate at UORTC for assistance with trailer parking at UORTC and getting you to BIG CREEK! He will be working there from 9 to 11 AM Saturday morning. If you have a trailer for a licensed vehicle - PLEASE leave it at UORTC! If you have a trailer for a un-licensed vehicle and you need to park your trailer at BIG CREEK - Please let me know. I have 4 trailers parking at BIG CREEK so far. I can only handle a couple more trailers at BIG CREEK.

Remember your COMMS! Check your Safety Sheet! Bring your signed documents so you aren't holding up the line Saturday Morning! Every person in the gate at BIG CREEK will have to have signed a WAIVER.

Here again is the Google map to BIG CREEK from UORTC/Outpost

Brian, what time are you and Tom lookin at arriving at the outpost?

We usually leave Mebane around 6AM so that put us at the outpost around 7:30-8. That gives us some time to tinker around unloading, getting our junk straight and other useless shooting bull time before we head off for the trail. Look forward to seeing you there!

allrighty then...I'll meet you at the outpost at 8.

are there going to be any release forms onsite? Printer is wanting to be stupid and not wanting to print them out.

Jeep is loaded. Now I gotta go look for my insulated underwear!

Ill see yall in the morning, be at outpost about 730-800. To those of you in open air un heated rigs, I do not envy you one bit in the morning when its 15 degrees! Im sure on trail it would be tolerable, but going down the highway youd freeze jiblets off!

It's going to be Chi-cha-illie
