yep.. should slide out with some air out of the tires..
and i tried the d300 clocked.. but it interfered with the tranny... TF727... so i unclocked it to have clearance for the front drive shaft... it will still be a flat skid plate even with the bottom of the frame...
sounds like the trouble scott was having (madmonk). i think he fixed it by just selling the jeep :flipoff2:

well rob.. i orginally thought they would be lower on my axle tube.. therefore i decided to get a little thicker wall tubing for them.. :D but now to get my anti-squat in the ball park i want it.. i had to raise the axle side of them.. so i am thinking they will help with my center of gravity.. :flipoff2:

Axle tube....thicker wall tubing...anti squat...center of gravity...blah, blah, blah...When I get my Jeep together....Blah, Blah, Blah...You are about on schedule to change your mind on something...putting you another 6 months from putting that POS on the trail...:D

i got the seats from summit racing.. they have two styles of the plastic ones.. i actually got them with the covers.. but they are really tight so i doubt i will ever put them on..

Can you explain bro? Your ass in the seat is too tight w/ the cover... or the covers are too tight to get on the seats easily?

They might fit if you leave them in the sun for a while...

alright.. i have returned from NY.. and finally found some time to work on the jeep... i now have the uppers completely in.. it is NO LONGER on jack stands... yep.. sitting on it's own free will... hopefully tomorrow i will get the diff cover finished.. and brace up the hoop the uppers are welded on.. nuff with the chit chat.. here are some pics..
here is the completed 4 link..

Looks good but I hope youre gonna tie that bridge over the 14 bolt to the plate youve got welded across it also.......I also ran those Summit seats and they got me going but every time the chassis slams into a rock, you feel it all the way up your spine........not good for the back.

ya that hoop the uppers is on is going to get tied into the axle hoop under it... i've got the plate cut... just have to grind it a little and weld it in.. that hopefully will get done today...
thanks for the heads up on the seats... i liked them in the jeep.. but i can see what you mean.. it had a lot more softness between my butt and the trail than this one will have..

Might as well take the hood off, remove the rest of the body and finish the tube work...:flipoff2:

well got a little done today.. tide the rear tube to the B pillar.. seat belt brackets... lower shock mounts.. got the measurements for the skid plate.. seems as tho i am missing some .250" steel.. mmm... cant find the old skid i made.. so will make another at work tomorrow.. i also need to hit the steel mill up this week for a sheet of steel diamond plate.. so i can start skinnin it.. so i can mount the fuel cell and air tank in it..

well i have the skid plate cut and mounted.. i have to cut some holes.. and make the mount for the tranny... i have the front axle out.. i am installing the arb and new gear set... i also switched out the leaf springs... got the rear shocks in.. and well.. so hopefully after tomorrow i will have some pics.. they might not show a lot but .. i have done a lot of little work..

If I may give you a little a little advise on the 1/4 elips, your shackle setup from the pics looks a little close to the link mount. those shackles will move foward and backward alot! if it hits that mount something will break. on the 727 d300 with my 3oo clocked flat the drive shaft hit the front corner on the trans pan! you have to run a small driveshaft which sucks. thanks for the kick in the balls (METRO). anywoo heres a couple of pics that you can see the shackle movement, a slightly different setup but same concept.

nice jeep... (who are you in metrowars?)... and my mounts would have to be almost flat.. well maybe 20 degrees.. before they hit... but ya.. i am going to watch it.. i had to move the link mounts to where they are due to the frame mounting i wanted.. so i had to compromise some... i should be getting the disk brake set up on this coming weekend.. which should be interesting... lol..
how do you like your set up?

I have built 2 1/4 elip suspensions both worked very well. I will def do it again on my next build. whenever that happens. the real challenge is shock mounting, the way they are mounted in the pics was a compremise but worked out very well, allowing for alot of flex without bottoming or topping out the shocks.

well have been doing some small work on the jeep.. mounted my airtank, i got it from a junkyard, it's what the semi-trucks use for their airbrakes, it has 9 ports in it, so you can mount everything you want to it.. i have the drain valve under it along with 3 inlet/outlet ports. Those three ports are going to be 1. inlet from york compress 2. outlet to front of jeep 3. outlet to rear of the jeep
then on the passenger end of the tank i have a gauge for it. Another outlet with a quick connect on it for the large auto couplers, safety valve and then on the side will be another outlet that will go up to a dash mounted gauge
