Jeep to expand production to meet demand

Traded a 2014 Raptor that his payment was around $900 a month. If I had known he would take $33000 trade in for the Raptor it would be in my driveway now. He was only upside down by about $7000 he said. As I said before DUMBASS!!!
You and me both. Raptors are still holding their value. Could have sold it on his own for at least $45K

I had a friend buy a new 2014 AEV rubicon couple summers ago. Over $50k. for a wrangler!!!

Those new car loans are probably 0% interest. That gets them in the door quick. Jeep (Marcione or whatever his name is) is making a HUGE gamble on low gas prices. We will see.
0% interest OR a couple thousand bucks off and higher interest rates. And since we live in a world where people can't do math, $600/month for 84months sounds cheaper than $700/month for 60 months...

A guy that I work with is paying $1025.00 a month for 84 months for a 2016 F250 that will never haul or tow a damn thing. And he says it costs to much to eat out for lunch. Can we say dumbass!

That's insane. I can't wrap my head around some of those payments. My house payment is only $740 and we pay extra on that. I don't think I could ever spend more than 20k on a vehicle.

If u want a newer truck or suvs with under 100k you will.

Don't guess I will. Bought my last car with 170k. High miles don't bother me long as they've been maintained and not driven by a long haired flat biller.

I think most all new vehicles are overpriced now, but I understand some people buying them. I think if I can't put enough down to keep a payment under 400, I should be looking for a cheaper vehicle.

I also have a 2003 F250 I bought in 2008 for 750 with a hole in the block (5.4, 2wd), pulled an engine out of a wrecked truck for 600, and have been driving it since.

yep, ive got 2 suburbans, a bronco, and 2 golf carts. no loans. it blows my mind how much people spend on new cars.

$2k down and $300 / month for an '05 legacy - 4 years and I had it paidoff 235k miles nothing but tires/oil/timing chain. I can justify new cars at that rate. it still looks brand new too.

bought the wife a new '14 forester and it had a lifetime warranty front to back and top to bottom. its paid off now too. fuji / subaru makes damn good cars.

I have not purchased a new vehicle in over 20 yrs . Dont intended to either. I have not had a car payment in 5 years, but that Damn camper my wife wanted..............

I know the prices of campers are worse than trucks. To get into any of the big toyhualers you're looking at 65k-100k+

A stupid friend of mine was bragging about how he's getting a "deal" on a camper for 25k. Said its worth 48k. I said you don't need that, save and pay cash. He said its all good, they will finance it for 12 years at 225/m. I said you realize your paying over 32k that way. He said well it's still a deal.
Can't tell him nothing.

Should also asked him what kind of shape he expected it to be in in 12 years

No hauler, but a 37 ft tag. Either way I could have paid cash for a suitable used unit with a few less frills.......that ended up being the down payment. I will say we have enjoyed and used it alot. So it's going to depreciate and we are going to make Damn sure it is for a reason. Cause it going to be worn out by the time it is paid in full.

Look at pop ups sometime.12K for a tent on wheels???

I spent a couple hours with the wife at a Jeep dealer this weekend. I'm a sucker for the cosmetic stuff, so I was instantly drawn to the "dealer modded" JK's. They had non-rubi's for $55k..... ROugh Country or BDS lift, plus wheels, 35"s and bumpers were being upcharged as a $10k to $15k upgrade. The salesman was saying they couldn't keep them on the lot they sold so fast.

I can't believe how high priced the JK's have become. They had a new Jeep Cherokee trail hawk for $42k too.....

There is the old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted".

Sure its a $10-15k upcharge, but that's only another $120-180/month :handed:

I'm surprised they weren't using the Mopar branded (Rubicon Express) lifts. One would think using those at their cost would put even more in their pocket.
