Job Hook Ups

We actually do not sell any vehicles to individual buyers, besides our own employees. We supply them to dealers and various wholesalers. So in theory Drive-Time could purchase them through us, but at the moment we are not talking on any additional clients.
Been several years, but I was helping re=work a parking lot, in Charlotte. That's when I found out Drive-Time had a few buildings on both sides of the street. They brought in truck loads of cars, & ran them through, whatever they needed. They were like New, when they were shipped to their sales lots! They were just starting up in the Charlotte area, then. I wasn't aware anyone did that!

Throwing this out there. Probably looking for a new job. My company moved to a new office that is further from home, which was fine with me going in to the office one day a week. They are requiring us to be in the office three days a week starting first of the year. I am not wanting to spend 2+ hours a day on the road every day. Especially since I sold my little fuel efficient beater when they told us we can work from home 4 days a week. I'd like to find something closer to come, or ideally working from home. I made decisions on where my kids go to school and some other life decisions based off of that so it makes it very difficult on my family when my wife has to do dropoff and pickup for my younger son every day on top of trying to work her job.

I have over 20 years experience in mechanical design. Most of it in the HVAC and mechanical systems field , about 19 years, using ACAD and Revit but I have machine design experience using SolidWorks (which I honestly prefer). I also have experience growing a business and managing employees. I grew my parts business from borrowing $300 in my 2 car garage to a business with a big shop and 4 employees. I also grew my decal business from a Cricut Joy my parents bought me for Christmas a few years back into a shop that sold $50k in stickers on eBay and Etsy last year and has several large scale cutters and a commercial printer.

So I'm really open to anything as long as the money is decent and it works for my family. I can't afford to take much of a pay cut so I know my options are limited, but I'm just throwing it out there. I honestly could go for a career change.

That’s a heck of a spread in options! Good luck man!! Be happy is 99% of life.

Thanks man. Honestly running my shop was tons of fun to me, but running a business that size with kids that were as young as mine at the time was very tough so I tapped out at the right time.

With a good support team, this seems like it would be a fun job. A mix of sales and project management, plus you get to help people make their dreams come true.
