What if ...someone were to have an old(88) xj sittin' around?
What if they were to also purchase a spot in the Uwharrie race stock class, and enter this jeep in it?

Do you guys think anyone would be interested in purchasing the ''chance'' to race the jeep?

Basicly the idea is to have a ready to run jeep, a paid entry in a race, and permission to ''Go for the win'' or ''drive it like you stole it''!

What would this chance be worth?
Any other ideas similar to this?
Not looking to make much money, just toying with a fun idea?

Or some how selling the entire package?

Or selling the ''chance'', and after the race, raffle whats left of the jeep?

I wanna do something fun like this and maybe offer a great oppurtunity for someone else to race.

dude, if someone built a Jeep and needed a driver, I would be happy to drive the snot out of it, easily win, and split the prize money with the builder...

First of all....the jeep wont be ''built'' it will be all stock, in the stock class.
Second....I am the best driver in the world:driver:(like all of you are) so I could drive it. I already have 1 entry to race in the 2nd class and will be very busy all weekend with other obligations at the race.So time might kill me there.

Splitting the race money sounds good, but I am offering the chance to win it all for yourself. So what would this be worth?

Maybe some sort of auction would work, I dont know.

I want someone with no jeep and nary a prayer to race, to be able to get this chance. We will see how it goes.

Heres what Im thinking.....

It will cost 100 bucks to enter race in stock class.
The jeep runs and has brakes.
The interior is gone.
I gotta get 2 seats.
I have front bumper and grill, but currently not installed.
Gonna be riding on 32 bfgs
Probably gonna be loaded down with every sticker you can imagine.
30 front..35 rear...open diffs.
4.0 w/ 235xxx road miles

Hell, the thing may not last till the end, but we will find out!

I will start by asking for 450$ for this (imo) great oppurtunity!
We will see.........should I post this in for sale section? You are only buying an oppurtunity, so I dont know how to market this.
I really want more ideas if yall got em'. I want this to be fun!

5 bucks for a ticket...buy as many as you like.
The winner gets the jeep and the paid entry!

So, best case scenario, everyone takes a chance for 5 bucks...I make a few bucks to pay for the entry and jeep, maybe a little extra. Someone will win on a certain date prior to the race. They take possesion early...OR ..we pick the winner at the race, with the jeep there and ready to go.
Sounds like fun to me. What do yall think of this?
This jeep does have a clear title.

That sounds good but what if you dont sell enough tickets to even pay for the entry fee?
 
even worse, you make a few bucks off the raffles, but you have to pay few hundred to fix your jeep. (esp if I drive it, I can get stuck and break in ways you never thought possible, I never admitted to being good, just admitted to having fun)
 
Trust me...Even if you crash and burn this jeep down to the ground...It wont matter much. I have less than 200 bucks in this jeep. It aint much to look at, but I will fix that with stickers or some cool cheap paint.

So I guess I would need at least 300 bucks to break even.
I would hope to make that at least. But no real worries if not.
Maybe I should make the tickets for 10 bucks instead.
Im gonna try to make this happen, just gotta figure out details.
I need more input.
 
How about I just buy the Jeep from you for $250?
This is exactly what I want to do.
I think if I could get a beat-ass Chee or similar for next to nothing, that beats having to be concerned w/ the truck I've put som uch time/love into.

Keep in mind, even completely destroyed, asl on gas you can get it to teh recycling plant, it's wor that least $150...
 
How about painting it white and put a light bar on top with two big gold stars on the doors and try to catch THE GENERAL.:driver: YEEE HAAA!!!

I would too, even though I'll already be in w/ another vehicle!

Meanwhile, i've been trying to figure a good fundraiser/sponsorship to cover my own expenses/repairs.
 
Im gonna come up with a plan to either raffle off the entire package, where the winner owns the jeep, or just gets to race it. I still gotta figure it all out.

Should it be winner gets it(higher price ticket) or...
winner just gets to race it(lower price ticket)?
 
Well, if you are "selling" teh jeep, winner will end up having to pay taxes, title transfer etc.

I guess the question is - do you WANT it AFTER the race?
