Just what if?

Im not real attatched to this jeep, so I could part with it.
And yes, the new owner would have to pay taxes and title, if they wanted to.....that would be on them. Im not planning on tagging it myself. Maybe I could come up with a plan to add a hundred dollar bill to the glove compartment, just as a bonus and incentive.

ok...heres my preliminary plan.

Either 100....20$ tickets or
20....100$ tickets Dont know yet! Whacha think?

Winner gets
88 cherokee w/142xxx miles on a 4.0 aw4
2 new helmets from 661
100 dollar bill in the glove box
1/2 tank of gas(saves weight for race)
pre-paid race enrty to the stock class
new front rotors and brakes

What do yall think so far?

raffle the jeep..

If you own it and someone gets hurt....

I think you'll play hell getting anyone on board for $100 tix.
Meanwhile I think you could sell 40 $10 tix no problem...

I will have to drop a little $ in the jeep before its truly ready.
I gotta get seats, buy the helmets, and a few other things that will cost a little. I think selling 100...20$ tix might be possible, with a little profit being made, but not much.I will have pictures and all that, including a better vehicle description in a few days. It will definately be worth 20 bucks.Hopefully I will sale all the tix and some lucky person will get the thrill of a lifetime.Probablt gonna limit tix sales to 10 per person, or 5...Still thinking about that...Need more input.
Should I take money orders only, and then mail the ticket to the purchaser, or do a paypal thing, that will cost more money.

Do you really need $2k to cover this? that's quite a lot of dough. If you already have the vehicle $200), I'd think it could all be done for less than $1k...?

The question is, will you get 2x as many people with $10 tix than $20. Maybe? Personally, i'd do $10, but $20 is pushing what I could spend on soem part for my own vehicle. $100 is just too much for a gamble.

I need to find out a little more about a a few things.Thats why Im still ''planning'' this thing. What started as a random idea is now making its way through the growing into a plan stages.
Once this jeep is ready to race....counting time/gas/fluids/brakes/tires/seats/helmets/tickets/stamps/possible pay pal(what does pay-pal cost?)and the list will probably grow a little.Take all that into consideration, I dont think 2 grand is immoral! But like I said...still planning!

Oh yeah, dont forget about the 100 dollar bill, in the dash.

PAYPAL costs 3%

my favorite charity is the smoke 420 foundation for wayward youths. I believe Dylan is the chairman.

I don't think you can legally do a raffle "for profit". I was thinking a raffle could basically pay your costs to cover the vehicle, and the rest would have to go to a charity of sorts.
I'm not sure though, you can check into it.

the rest is going towards his retirement fund, that is chairty, right? you are helping an old man

I aint that old:flipoff2:

And Tony Stewart has more then enough money in his foundation.:flipoff2:

So...Greg and Loren....how many tickets do ya need?
you goofballs:bounce2:

Ok..Lauren..sorry for the misspelling, but thats how the guy in post 19 spelled it.

It is not a big deal, there more then 1 way to spell it. Most people find it easier just to call me "lulu" also understandable is lewlew, PTJC, hey you, and what ever crosses their mind

to cover the "profit" angle include a limited edition signed artist rendering of the jeep.

It is the very FIRST work by a local artisan ( a 4-5 year old perhaps) who can set a value...

I have read alot of ''legal stuff'' post from you. Are you a lawyer? You're purdy smart about this stuff. I think the artist idea is a great one!
I really wont be making much of a profit on this deal.Sure you can add numbers and it looks like a lot, but in the end, it really wont be.I have a few other details that may be added. Its gonna be cool!

Ok...heres my thoughts. At first, I mentioned only having 200 bucks in this jeep.Actually that was way off. I have traded so many different things over the past year and ended up with a 89 yamaha 350 warrior. This is what I have traded for this jeep. Its near impossible to place an actual ''cost'' on the initial jeep. Then add a few things that still have to be done, plus all the extras in the package, and I think we are getting closer to 2000 invested. So with that said...I will sale 65 tix at 30 bucks a pop.Thats 1950 bucks. Sounds fair to me. This is supposed to be a fun little thing to do. I hope eveyone understands that Im not doing this to get rich...just wanna have some fun!

Trust me...Even if you crash and burn this jeep down to the ground...It wont matter much. I have less than 200 bucks in this jeep. It aint much to look at, but I will fix that with stickers or some cool cheap paint.
So I guess I would need at least 300 bucks to break even.
I would hope to make that at least. But no real worries if not.
Maybe I should make the tickets for 10 bucks instead.
Im gonna try to make this happen, just gotta figure out details.
I need more input.
Just let us know when the tickets go on sale.

Tickets on sale now 30$ each..65 total, to be sold.
There is a new thread about this now! Get all the details there. Thanks
