I have a bad problem with these guys on my retaining wall at my house. I've Tryed killing them with bee spray didn't hurt them. I've set the gravel above the area they are going in and I've squirted gas into the hole the best that I can two or three times. I've Tryed to dig down threw the gravel to where they are and haven't found the nest but did manage to get stung again on my eye brow any one got any ideas

Order some Drione dust it works, also kills off other pest...I had yellow jacket nest in side of house. I got it from doyourownpestcontrol.com

Sevin dust also might work. A friend took out a nest of huge German hornets by filling a long brake line with it, then blowing it in the hole with compressed air.

Seven dust doesn't have pyrethrin in it that's what kills bee's plus drione kills a lot more bugs check it out it worked for me!

I've got a yellow Jacket nest under a bush, & mulch. I soaked the hole & mulch with 2 1/2 cans of wasp/hornet spray killer. Thought I had killed them off, got a whole bunch, & didn't see anything for 4-5 days. Even poked around & in the whole, with a long stick. Yesterday, I noticed they're back, & the Same place. Must not have gotten all the nest, & more hatched, I've soaked them again., but next I'll try the Drione! I'm afraid gas would kill the bush.

I couldn't use the gas trick unless I wanted burn house down so I searched came across drione but it def worked sprayed it two nights in row & 3 rd day they where gone!!

Getting stung in the face or on the head is a beotch. I've had my eye swollen shut, lips like a bagel and there's no where for swelling to go on your scalp so a hand sized area will feel like a one huge sting for hours. Maybe try my industrial fan trick? I've used my 30" rolling fan placed right beside Yellowjacket holes to get rid of them. They get sucked into it going in or out of the nest and chopped, beat to death. I might remove the shield on the backside for larger bees that might stick to or grab ahold of the screen and not get sucked into the spinning blades of death and bee chopping. Put it inches from the wall and plug it in, it might work like it works on Yellowjackets.

My eye was swallow shut this morning went out to there today and still a bunch there, I think there best is up inside the railroad ties somewhere. I guess I'm gonna try drione tonight. They are definitely still pissed off couldn't get with in 10 feet with out them trying to sting me

Not quote environmentally friendly but I like to use CRC's Lectra Clean degreaser/electrical parts cleaner. It WILL hurt you if you breathe it in, it will kill most bees and hornets almost instantly. Has Tetrachloroethylene in it. You can get it from Home Depot but if you try it READ the MSDS as the stuff is nasty. http://www.crcindustries.com/faxdocs/msds/2018.pdf

I once was stung by a wasp on the bridge of my nose, right between my eyes o_O.....in 5 minutes I had a terrible headache and it hurt worse than any punch in the nose I can remember, like my nose was broken, both eyelids/brows were swollen almost shut for hours.

I don't know about killing them, but we put out mint plants this year in an effort to get rid of them (didn't want the kids playing around in pesticide residue). It worked pretty well. We used to have spells where we couldn't even get to the front door without getting dive-bombed, but this year, I think I counted them on one hand. As an added bonus, I had mint leafs that I could put in my sweet tea, too.

I used to have a problem with wasps in my old apartment. They had a nest somewhere outside of the duct exit for my bathroom mechanical fan and they would get in.

I wasn't a big fan of all the poison sprays inside so I did some investigating. I ended up using a spray bottle full of just water and dish soap. It would kill them with one or two squirts. Crazy but it was very effective.

I had a big nest of yellow jackets behind my railroad tie wall one time. They had built the nest about a foot into the dirt behind the ties so I couldn't kill them either. I had to pull the ties back out of the way and then spray the nest with wasp and hornet spray. It's best to wait until night when they have returned to the nest and arent flying around.

I've dug up about a five foot across hole now all the way to dirt threw the gravel and haven't found a nest I think they are inside the railroad ties. I'm gonning to spray foam the gaps between the two ties front and back and probably four feet each way I'm hoping they won't be able to get out and die

I've Tried fire about five gallons worth yet they are still flying in and out of the same spot even after I squirted gas into there hole
Yeah your pissin the off w the gas before u light the fire.W those torches you can instantly start roasting them while their still in the hole.If they come out theyre gonna die,if they stay in theyre gonna die. Those things put off so much heat they wont want any.

I have always waited till night time and poured gas all down in the hole. Never lit it, just poured the gas in. Although it won't do any good if the nest is positioned where you won't actually be able to soak it

after using spray foam to seal up most of the area seems like the only place they are going and coming from is the crack in the first picture, going to fill it full of bee spray then more foam tonight. I just don't understand where all of them are coming from I've killed dozens the yellow jacket trap probably has 50-100 in two days being out. I did notice yesterday before I used the foam that they were leaving with larva. Hoping I have this nest taken care of by tonight
