Last week, and update

Just caught this thread! I've been in FLA for the week. Give me a call if you need anything, I'll be back Sunday nite. But all well wishes aside, this is an amazing old school, Dixie Run story! Choose your headline: Man Completes Event Despite Heart Attack; Wheeling Healing; The Power Of Positve Wheeling; The Agony & The Ecstasy:Man Successfully Competes Despite Pain; Uphill Battle: Man Conquers Pain; Dixie Run:The Heart Of The Matter. I look at Chip's victory as an example of courage, determination, grit & persistance. A man's man! We're pulling for you bud!

If theres anything I can do to help, please let me know,Id be honored to help, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers,Gods speed my friend:driver:

Daum Chip, I just found this.............if'n I wasn't working, I'd run up to see ya this weekend. Maybe smuggle ya in some beef jerky or sumtin'!!! Man,...........I'm glad you're OK, or seem to be!

They ain't going to transfer ya to Broughton next are they?

Holy shit man, I was looking for you at the farm this weekend and was wondering what had happened. If you need anything let me know.

Well, today is the day. They do the heart catherization today. Hopefully early. If they find blockage they said they would try to fix with the balloon and stint. Worst case scenario, they cut me open and do open heart.

So far they are treating me for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, give me the patch to help quit smoking, and of course all the heart stuff.

Hang in there, big guy...

that cutting balloon works well. I suggest if you go under to take the veins from your arms. My dad has had this 3 times and used arm veins last time and they work great. They're bigger and stronger than leg veins. Just something to think about if you have to go that route. I hope you don't have to though.

We're all pulling for ya man! Probably in surgury now, hope it all goes well!

well, was in and out of there pretty quick.
Unfortunately, too many blockages, so, it's gonna be open heart surgery. Waiting for surgeon to come talk to me now.

Big thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Looks as if my return will be delayed some to the wheeling circuit.

Ick. Sorry to hear.
As I'm sure he'll tell you, the worst part of recovery has nothing to do w/ what they do to yer heart... it's what has to happen to get in there (All those damn ribs are in the way).
Best of luck.

Chip, you will be in our prayers.

If you need anything taken care of around the house, let me know. I am not far away at all.

Yikes... we'll be keeping you in our thoughts..

Doc finally come in last night. Had pictures of my heart they took when they did the cath. I have one that is 100% blocked, and four more that are very restricted. So, five fixes.
Will be taking mostly from my arm, and also from my leg.
supposed to be done sometime this Wednesday afternoon.

the one that was 100% blocked... is that the one that leads to the brains "Reason aisle"? I mean really, Heart attack, ah hell, let's do Peckerwood and then we'll go see the doc. :D

best of luck Chip, you'll be in my thoughts.

Peckerwood?? pahlez!
Schoolbus or lower and upper 2 maybe :flipoff2:

Thing is, yes my chest hurt, but the worst feeling thing was my head. So you may be right, the part feeding my brain might be the one that's 100% blocked.
As nonchalant as they were about it "might be this" or it "might be that" It was difficult to take them serious.
In all honestly, had I known the seriousness of the situation no, I would not have been on the trail welding and changing out an axle.
