Picked up a 2004 TJ sport last month for cheap with a rusty frame but great in every other way. 100k miles w/auto. Fixed the frame changed all fluids and 1.5" budget boost.

small update on the '83 Scrambler. added some YJ half doors so I'm more comfortable with my daughter riding up front with me.

Decided I couldn't live with the dent (much worse in person) in the tailgate the PO did after a week of ownership so I had my body guy fix it and I changed up the emblem. Also switched over to the soft top.

Brought the Alaskan Postal Scrambler tub home today. Mounted to the chassis then will continue with the build. Can’t put the metal hard top, doors, etc on the rotisserie without potential warping of the body.

Yes, 81 was a Laredo according to VIN. Pretty solid, great running old CJ. Goal is to refreshen it in stock form with a little V8 power.

Picked up the rest of the parts from my painter. Now time for final assembly then back to paint for final coat over all of it, clear, wet sand and buff. Had a few minutes yesterday to get the front doors hung and roll bar installed. Will be away for a month so progress is at a halt on the Alaskan Postal for now
