Lets see your yota?

Actually got some mud on it 🤣

I bought some dark bronze paint for the wheels, did I mention how bad I dislike these black fauxlocks…..

I have new factory Toyota lower balljoints for it.

Need to start thinking about timing belt replacement, has 90k on this belt.

Added a new member to the fleet. Stock suspension is completely sagged out to the stops but still tucks 37s.

Need to do some paint R&R due to the original owner having a proclivity for married men 😅 passenger side doors have what the other woman thought carved down to the metal.

Aptly named Jolene had 273k miles of debauchery.. next ones should be more family friendly.

Not a huge update, but I finally replaced the lower ball joints, which I suspected were much worse than they ended up being. They were loose but not terribly so. I use genuine Toyota because most experts say anything else is pissing in the wind. I got them shipped from Japan at about half the cost of the dealer.

I also Finally sanded down and painted the wheels I went with dark bronze like TRD wheels. I removed the fake bead lock bolts, and drilled out the holes smooth.

The radio bezel is still an ongoing project that I haven’t put much time into but I plan to this weekend. It is all epoxy up. I just have to finish sanding it and paint it.

The wheels look darker in this photo than they actually are due to it being overcast, there is a lot of glitter in the paint and they look great in the sun.

What makes me the happiest is that you removed the nasty protective film on the rear fender flare. Always wanted to take it off…just never got around to it.

Did a little exploring today.

Black Mountain would be in the background just over the ridge. Could see snow frosted peaks adjacent to Mt Mitchell in the distance a little later but I didn’t snap pics. Trail was super sketch and I wanted out.
