LKC jeep build

what size tires are those? they look pretty wide. I'm going to be putting on a set of 35x16 boggers on mine and was wondering if that's what it'll look like

If you remove the hatch on wheeling trips and get it really flexed up it will not go back on. The hatch is very much a structural unit whereas the doors are not. This is speaking from experience.

i can hear her crying for that 44 already with those 35 boggers on there:rolleyes:, lol... looks good tho!!:beer:

hey what ever happened to that little black yota' you bought from me.... did you sell it already... been looking for a truck to dd... thanks man!

i've never had my hatch bashed in? and i have been on 39824 wheeling trips. i dont even see how that would be possible unless you back into a tree?

just curious though.

you should take ALL the windows out too so they dont get broken.

While it's not the first thing to get bashed ... typically.. I successfully destroyed mine at DPG a few weeks ago here...

Now it's gone and I like it much better... far better visability and now worried about it anymore.. but my XJ is caged...

after doing some reading i dont believe that. ive been flexing her hard locally this week and last and it goes back on fine. soon it will be off for good so it really dosnt matter.

I'm sure the forklifts and RTI ramps are really unforgiving in your area but when/if it sees some actual trail time it will get twisted up to the point of no return. I've been dealing with unibody tweakage on my ZJ for 4 years. I'm just trying to save you a headache.

Zj's are gay....and heavier........the ckee will be fine. The cage will be done by the end of april so its not going to stressed to long. Uni's are alot stronger and forgiving than most give them credit. < dont go ranting on me saying there great....just more stronger than credited. The old "that UNi will get twisted to no return is old" show me one that is truely twisted....maybe if you womp on it hard every season for like 8 years........P.S. who has wheeled there cherokee for that long????????

While they are cool, I don't think the uni's can take the abuse for that long... if there wheeled hard regularly, bound to self destruct eventually.

This XJ was straight as a pin just 2 years ago (pre-greyrock, tellico, etc) and gets wheeled every 2-3 weeks like clock work.

With a cage and reinforced frame rails.. why not? I agree that in your case (no cage that I can see) the unibody flexes a ton... add a cage and some reinforcement and I think it'll last...
