you fucking rednecks can have NC. it sucked before the yankees came in, and it will suck after you "accidentally" shoot them all with your deer hunting rifle...
Wow Mike, tell us how you really feel. :D

Cool, thanks! I'll take the beach 2 hours that way, and the moutains 2 hours the other way, the blue ridge parkway, and Hwy109 for the curves... VIR raceway to the north, Kershaw to the south, yup, I love this state.

Gee, no one ever sang "In my mind, I'm going to Ohio" :flipoff2:

YOURE FROM NEW JERSEY YOU FUCKTARD!!!

Yup, but I'm not leaving. Being born anywhere is pure luck. Where you decide to settle is your own doing, and fully under your own control.

When Unlce Sam dropped me off here, I found that once you leave Fayetteville, N.C. is damn near as beautiful of a state as Colorado, without the insane winters, and it's got a beach. ;)

There I fixed it for you Mikey... :flipoff2:

x3 on the hunting. I am off work for the next two weeks. Week one bear hunting in Hyde county & week two deer hunting in NC & SC. :smokin:

Yeah, heading up to our place in Caswell Co, 430am on Saturday! Gonna bag me some deer steak/burger/etc.

Funny quote Bill! Course I got ALL YA'LL beat as far as being born the "furthest" south. I was literally born in the southernmost hospital in the CONTINENTAL USA. (Homestead FL...) Unless one of you was born in a shack in the everglades... :)

[Every once in a while someone from TX thinks they are further south...look at the Long/Lat lines]

I think I have only ever shouted "Go home Yankee" once in my life...to a METs fan at a Braves Game at Turner Field. (He was talking junk for about 3 innings and the Braves were ahead and everyone was tired of his mouth. Think I got a round of applause actually....)

Sam...born the furthest south...Hinton

Day-um - it was joke. Heard it on the Big Show about 5 years ago. Laughed my ass off when I heard it. And I am from upstate NY. I'm here because I like it here. Similar geography without the sub-zero weather and 3 feet of the white crap on the ground all winter.

Short story:
Working on a construction site years ago, a bunch of guys were from all over. Guys from SC were calling the guys from NC & VA yankees, guys from Alabama talking junk, yada yada.
Guy that never said much was from WAY DOWN in the bayous of LA. He just snorted and said [Cajun accent] "Ways I' from, Y'alls Yankas" -
:flipoff2:
and just walked away.

most people native to the deep south (georgia, alabama, mississippi, etc.) consider people from nc yankees. this area just has a large problem with halfbacks (yankees that go to visit florida, but only make it halfway back).
Homestead FL
blah, florida is just another name for new york :flipoff2:

Southern Florida, yeah, I agree. Most of Northern Florida you'll still find pretty southern culture. After all, Norther Florida was the birthplace of Lynyrd Skynyrd. :D

And Southern Florida can also be referred to as "Little Cuba"

NC is definitely southern. Alot of Florida is too, once you get away from the resort areas and into the backwoods. VA is half and half. Southside VA (south of Richmond) is southern. I graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and it doesn't get any more southern than that school. Now, northern VA - nope, that doesn't qualify, you might as well be in NY.

Working outside New Orleans one summer they always told me I must be a Yankee because the name of my state was NORTH Carolina.

i like NY except for NYC. NYC is okay to visit from time to time, but i could never live there or anywhere close. everything north of boston is beautiful too...

The new Mason/Dixon line should be the Denny's just north of South Hill, VA. That is the LAST place you can order tea and expect it to be sweet.

everyone down here tells me i am a yankee. they say north of the sc border are all yankees. these guys are idiots! i guess i fit in!!!!!

NOW THATS FUNNAY!!!

Southern isn't exactly where you are from, it's more a state of mind.

If you can shake hand and it be the same a signing a contract.

You treat people with respect, especially the female persuasion.

Life is black and white and you stand for what is right.

All this namby-pamby, shades of grey, certain peoples "rights" is for all those non-southerners.
