Lots of interesting news today

Im confused.. how does recording a liveatream and reposting it, no matter how heinous, get this girl charged with aiding and abetting murder?

Edit: this is a better article. The wral one didnt say that she was in communication with them before hand and had a part in planning the attack.

Because racism. Also it will get pled down to a lesser charge.

Meanwhile the UK and a lot of European country get by just fine on 2.5l turbo vans for 95% of things.
You don't need more power, you need more patience and accepting that for the very rare cases where you do you just use a different vehicle.
On a business trip to the UK, I jumped in shotgun of a taxi with about 4-5 coworkers.

Talking to the driver he started talking about his little 4 banger engine, probably a 2.5l max, I don’t recall. And he asked what I had back in the States, I said a 5.3l V8 that got 18mpg. He damn near drove off the road in shock. 😂

If I was scrutinized for a tan suit like that, I’d have gone and picked up a new suit in a slightly different variation of tan and worn it at my next address. Fuck ‘em.
100%. But I'd probably go plaid.

But then again I would also be a staunch proponent of fun shirt Fridays and wear obnoxious Hawaiian shirts and such. At a minimum Looney Tunes ties.

I used to only wear my hawaiian shirts to work on Thursdays. This summer I started wearing them almost every day because I decided once a week in the summer just isn’t enough. And I’m trying to bring joy to a bunch of losers.

This can’t be passed up:

Ditto. It used to be "fun shirt Fridays". But then everyone working a flex schedule wasn't here Fridays.
So we switched to Wild shirt Wed. But I stayed w/ Friday too... my daughter went and ensured I had a whole bank of obnoxious shirts.
Then I realized, hell these are all short sleeve, I only get to wear them 5 months a year. So now its pretty much any day I feel like it.
I was at a workshop last week w/ a bunch of the country's top technical SME reps / PMs in a very specialized field. Everybody wearing suits. Except me, jeans and collared shirt. Last day I'm like F this, its bold shirt time. WTF are they gonna do?

I want to know how many people are going hungry due to zero fault of their own. How many had made good decisions and are still 'hungry'? How many work and are still hungry?

Also how are they finding and counting all these people that are 'skipping meals?'

How many are going hungry after all the safety net programs are taken advantage of? all the food banks, all the charities, child tax credits, snap/ebt/wic/section 8/free school lunches/on and on?

sounds like we have too many people for the # of jobs and # of $resources that are available

It is a little perplexing. I know of a half dozen places who can’t hire enough people and they are all starting in the area of $30/hr. These are “minimal skill” labor jobs. I do not understand how people are going hungry. I do believe it’s poor decision making. I’d like to see the spending habits of these hungry people. If there is a car payment, excessive cell plan, video games, cable tv, etc. no excuse. Priorities are so fuct up amongst the population it’s crazy.

I've made lots of good choices and I'm still hungry all the dang time.

Georgetown County Sheriff's Office

PARENTS OF SAYLOR HAYES ARRESTED, CHARGED
John Herb Hayes, III and Geordyn Nichole Hayes were arrested this evening in Carter County, Tennessee and each charged with unlawfully placing a child at risk/willfully abandoning a child for their actions in the disappearance and subsequent death of their child, 5-year-old Saylor Hayes. The body of the missing girl, who had been the subject of an intensive search involving hundreds of people and multiple agencies, was found yesterday morning in the waters near Hagley Landing. Once extradition proceedings are complete, the couple will be transported back to Georgetown County.
STATEMENT FROM SHERIFF CARTER WEAVER
The death of Saylor Hayes is a heartbreaking tragedy that has deeply affected our community and everyone who worked so hard to find her.
From the beginning, our responsibility has been to follow the evidence wherever it led. Following an extensive investigation, Saylor’s parents have been arrested and charged under South Carolina law relating to unlawfully placing a child at risk of or causing harm, or willfully abandoning a child.
Parents and caregivers have a fundamental responsibility to protect children who cannot protect themselves. When the evidence establishes probable cause to believe that a child has been unlawfully placed in circumstances that endanger that child’s safety, law enforcement has a responsibility to act.
Saylor was a vulnerable five-year-old child who depended upon the adults responsible for her care and protection. She deserved to be safe. She deserved to be protected.
These arrests are based upon the evidence developed during this investigation and the applicable law. They should not be interpreted as a determination of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Nothing we do can bring Saylor back. What we can do is pursue the truth, seek accountability through our justice system, and continue doing everything within our authority to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
I remain extremely grateful to the deputies, investigators, first responders, partner agencies and citizens who worked tirelessly to find Saylor and determine what happened to her.
This case is now entering the judicial process, and we will respect that process. Above all, we will remember Saylor and remain committed to ensuring that her life is not forgotten.
Saylor deserved to be safe. She deserved to be protected.

Left unsupervised near a body of water.
Lifesaver tracking device left at home.
Encouraged searchers to use said tracking device.
Directed search efforts away from nearby body of water.
