I read some very good advice that I use in my own personal web design business. These were the top suggestions that a successful web design company used to expand their business, and I try to hold them dear when seeking out business.
1) Sell on value - not price.
2) if prospects don't buy it's probably because they didn't see the value (see number 1)
3) Educate - don't sell. (I like to call this "educate on what you sold") Much like @Ron 's scenario, let them know up front that while this product is a commodity sold on the open market, sometimes for less money, your expertise in installation, implementation, combination, condemnation, conflagration and obliteration of said products is what sets your company apart from "just a vendor" and why the price differential is important.
4) Actually give a sh!t. Like seriously, truly deep down immensely care until it hurts that your client gets a ROI from the site you deliver.
