LP on 351

I have seen the LP conversions done with a mixer the mounts in a rubber inlet like the factory FI inlet. You could then leave the injectors inplace to plug the holes and the throttle plate would work as normal.

Shawn (Saf-T) - you saw this "Boss Hoss" edition truck at my place, you dragged it out and we cut the rear springs off of it.

Um.... I believe that motor was a 2bbl 351W... but I'm not 100% sure.

Easiest way to check is looking at the water neck -- it bolts to the intake on the 302 and 351W. The 351M, C, and 400 have it in the block.

The 351c was only used in cars and from 70 or 71 until 74. The M was discontinued in 82. If it's a 351, it's a windsor, and if it's an 84 it's going to be carb'd. Just fwiw.

That's all fine, well, and good if you know the motor's never been swapped... what with the "BOSS HOGGGG" kit on it, there's no telling. :flipoff2:

I agree with ya.... but Richard isn't even 100% on what year the truck is.

Rob how far have you gotten on your build? I am about to tear into my 351 to get it machined and rebuild the top end for propane and some low end power. If you need anything I am getting rid of the heads and intake off of it, 1982 vintage.

I've been consumed with other parts and such so I've only gottena couple tanks and a mixer. Haven 't gotten an intake yet. So, ya gonnna get rid of your intake??? 4bbl?

I shouldn't need the heads, but intake would work if its a Windsor

Here's a different direction on the dizzy talk.

What I use (and have been very happy with) is a junk yard "points" distributor(think I paid $10 at a swap meet) with a $55 pertroniz Electronic conversion kit. I used this first on my '65 Mustang that was fully restored and driven (289) and was so happy ith it put it on the bronco. No problems with either one. keeps cap and rotor replacement hella cheap (read stock) and takes like 2 minutes to install and run the 2 wires , simplicity of points, performance of electronic
